I just came across the below picture from this summer’s Youth Gathering of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, attended by less than 16,000 teens. The attendance six years ago was 31,000 at which they put an 11-year-old boy who thinks he is a girl on stage to promote transgenderism. The ELCA healthcare plan, funded by offering dollars, pays for this child’s hormone blockers to prevent him from developing his God-given sexuality.
Regarding this summer’s gathering, we read this from the ELCA blog: “At the Naming Project booth, participants relaxed in the colorful Garden of Eden, receiving sparkle blessings from local Drag Queens. Deacon Ross Murray’s message was clear: everyone is known and loved by God and the church just as they are”. (See here) If you are an ELCA Lutheran, I believe it is time to take your money, time and talents—and teenagers—and run from this denomination. In Christ, Pastor Tom Brock

(The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.) For years, Living Lutheran, the official magazine of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, has printed articles promoting homosexuality and transgenderism, while forbidding the traditional, biblical viewpoint in its pages. As if to see how radical it can become, Living Lutheran magazine celebrates gay pride month in an interview with queer/bisexual ELCA activist pastor Elle Dowd, who calls for the overthrow of “heteronormality” and capitalism. It is the most radical Living Lutheran article to date.
Here are some highlights: The article begins: June is Pride Month, and we are excited to amplify the voices of our ELCA siblings who are proud to be part of the LGBTQIA+ community... Today we are speaking with pastor, author and activist Elle Dowd (she/they). Dowd states: I am currently...finish(ing) up my Ph.D. in queer theology, researching bisexual theology...I have a lot of religious trauma from growing up in the church...I received a lot of messages about the sinfulness of my identity (as a bisexual/quer pastor), which deeply harmed me... we can’t continue to affirm theology that is killing people. The ELCA needs to move toward a full-throated, wholehearted affirmation and even celebration of LGBTQIA+ people..What I want to know is: Are you lobbying your legislators to protect LGBTQIA+ people? Are you protesting and taking the streets when our rights are ripped away from us? ...Does your budget and your calendar reflect that we are a priority? Are we in your pulpits? In your liturgy? In your Sunday school illustrations? What kind of conversations are you having around reparations?...Does your congregation have education about the phenomenon of bisexual erasure? ...I pray for... the dismantling of white supremacy, for an end to cis-hetero patriarchy, for the fall of capitalism and empire, for #landback, for abolition, for reparations, for restoration... So ends the article Whew! The truth is that if I Corinthians 6:9-11 is true, that homosexuals will not inherit the Kingdom of God, then it is hateful to promote homosexuality, which the ELCA is doing in its national magazine. Living Lutheran is funded by ELCA offering dollars. That's right, your ELCA offering dollars at work, overthrowing “hetero-normality” and capitalism. Sincerely in Christ, Pastor Tom Brock PS. The article states that its author is Kelly Wilkerson who is in full-time ministry and “resides with her fiancée”, an unashamed plug for pre-marital cohabitation (Read Living Lutheran article here.)

I came across this strange video of a drag queen stumbling as he walked into a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. From what I can gather, this Milwaukee congregation was hosting a drag queen event called “Drag Me to Church” to raise money for an LGBTQ community center. Protesters in front of the church were shouting that the congregation should not be hosting a drag queen performance and sexual perversion. But the congregation’s website (Village Church in Milwaukee) says it supports the LGBT movement. This is the bizarre world of the ELCA, as it caves and conforms to the craziness of our culture. In Christ, Pastor Tom Brock

This is St. Luke Lutheran Church, an ELCA church in Atlanta, GA.
This church and their activities were featured in the ELCA's magazine Living Lutheran here.
Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenville, South Carolina is hosting a drag show. (see below) Trinity Lutheran Church is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The church has over 1200 baptized members.
A man dressed in drag preached the sermon at St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Logan Square in Chicago Sunday. This ELCA church sits in the shadow of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America headquarters, also in Chicago.
Seminarian Aaron Musser preached dressed as a woman and at one point in the service had children sitting at his feet.
To all ELCA pastors, ELCA members, and ELCA churches: You are participating in a denomination that mocks God, that destroys faith and defies God's Word. Standing before God, you will have to give account for remaining in this heretical, false teaching, fake Christian denomination. And your remaining in the denomination is an endorsement of the ELCA to all your members.
ELCA Bishop Michael Rinehart is a social justice warrior and loves the internet. He is the bishop of the ELCA's Gulf Coast Synod.
Let's learn more about Bishop Rinehart by checking out some of his social media posts. As you can see, he loves marching for his favorite liberal social justice causes. And here is Bishop Rinehart with controversial ELCA pastor Lenny Duncan:
Lutheran Pastor Tom Brock addressed the situation saying: "Here is drag queen story time for your children, presented by the Metropolitan New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. I am not making this up. This is not a satire. Here is drag queen story time for your children courtesy of the Metropolitan New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America." "Claire Burkat, retired ELCA bishop of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod, wrote of the drag queen story time books: 'Three books I will buy for the little ones I love:)'" (Read Rev. Brock here) The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has a mission to indoctrinate their membership, including children, with their ultra-liberal, Bible-rejecting beliefs. How can anyone who fears God and believes His Word stay in this vile denomination that is teaching evil, in many forms, to people under their care? |
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
