Below are just a few of the many social media posts made this week by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America or their partners about Transgender Remembrance:

(The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.) The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America now has seven practicing homosexual bishops. Below you will see a Pennsylvania homosexual bishop is flying off to help install another homosexual bishop in Massachusetts. And the gay bishop says this is going to make the ELCA “very fabulous”. The ELCA also had the world’s first transgender bishop, but “they” had to step down over alleged racism.
At my house tonight, we had a prayer meeting and we prayed for the ELCA. But I made the point that I see absolutely no sign that this denomination is turning around. Yes, God can do anything and He can turn this denomination around, but for decades it just keeps getting worse. I told the prayer group that my belief is that God will continue to let the ELCA go its own way and we will see biblical churches grow and evil churches shrink into oblivion. In Christ, Pastor Tom Brock (The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.) Regardless of what you think about Donald Trump and what he said about Haitians eating dogs in Ohio, I would argue that killing unborn children is much worse. But Elizabeth Eaton, head Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, has publicly decried Trump without naming him as spreading “dehumanizing lies that perpetuate racist tropes and support white supremacist narratives”. Eaton, however, has said nothing about Democrats, like ELCA Lutheran Tim Walz, who support legalized abortion up to the moment of birth. Under Walz, the Minnesota law requiring doctors to keep infants alive who survive abortion is gone. Neither has Eaton decried sex change operations on children, which Walz supported by making Minnesota a “trans safe state” so children can come to Minnesota to get sex change operations. Read Eaton’s full statement below. I don’t think there is much of a question how she wants you to vote. Tragically, Eaton’s position is in line with ELCA policy. The ELCA pays for abortion for any reason with offering dollars in the denomination’s healthcare plan. The ELCA also pays for hormone blockers for minors. Just before Roe vs. Wade was overthrown, Eaton travelled to the White House to lobby for abortion rights. I think the biggest problem in America is not the politicians. It is leaders in the Church who promote things that grieve the heart of God. Sincerely in Christ, Pastor Tom Brock (See article here.) (The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.) Saint Paul Reformation Lutheran Church in St Paul, Minnesota, has long been a leader in promoting all things LGBT in the liberal Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Years ago when homosexuality was still a sin and I was still a pastor in the ELCA, I used to do battle with their pastor (now deceased) at the microphone at conventions. But this congregation eventually won, and now the ELCA ordains practicing homosexual and transgender pastors.
Below you will see their church bulletin inviting you to a gay pride brunch. You will also see the sticker they handed out at their table at a gay pride event, claiming that people who hold to the Bible’s teaching on homosexuality are “a—holes.” I’ll say it again, this ain’t my grandma’s Lutheran church. Neither St. Paul nor Martin Luther would have anything to do with St. Paul Reformation Lutheran Church. Sincerely in Christ, Pastor Tom Brock PS. The sticker says “God made you just the way you are”. Does that mean if I have a proclivity toward promiscuity, hatred, thievery, etc. that I can practice that too? The Bible teaches the doctrine of Original Sin, that we are all born sinners because of Adam’s trespass (Romans 5). That does not give us a license to sin. So, no, I cannot blame God for my sin. (The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.) The below liberally biased “report” from CBS-TV interviews a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. This is a woman who presents herself as a man. She is married to another woman and both are pastors in the ELCA. She, I refuse to say “he“, tells the world that the Bible was not written for today. This is a convenient way to get around the fact that the Bible says God made us male and female. For those with open eyes, the below clip from CBS Mornings seems more like an infomercial of why everyone should leave the ELCA. Sincerely in Christ, Pastor Tom Brock (The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.) Yes, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's healthcare plan, funded by offering dollars, not only pays for abortion for any reason, it now also pays for hormone blockers for children to keep them from developing their God-given sexuality.
Below are quotes from Jamie Bruesehoff, LGBT activist and ELCA pastor's wife, about her son who thinks he is a girl who receives hormone blockers. She calls this "life-saving treatment" but it chemically castrates her son. This is the same child, then 11-years-old, who the ELCA put on stage back in 2019 to promote transgenderism to 31,000 teens at the ELCA's Teen Gathering. Read the quotes below from the mother's Facebook page. Incredible. This is one reason some legislators are trying to make child sex transitions a felony and one more big reason to leave the ELCA with your offering dollars. Sincerely in Christ, Pastor Tom Brock Jamie : "Today, Rebekah had her second surgical procedure to place a hormone blocking implant in her arm to prevent her from progressing farther into puberty. This is one example of what medically appropriate, medically necessary, life-affirming, and often literally life-saving treatment looks like for a transgender child... That is the face of a girl terrified of hospitals and needles, but more terrified of having to live life as someone she is not. That is the face of a girl feeling on top of the world, knowing her body won’t betray her and she’s one step closer to the woman she will grow up to be....I’m extra thankful and proud to say that the insurance covering this procedure for my transgender daughter is provided to my husband through his employer... the church." https://nationalfile.com/pastors-wife-celebrates-trans-sons-puberty-blockers-paid-for-by-church-insurance/ (The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.) I am a Christian who would love to see America get back to its religious roots. Does that make me a Christian nationalist? The new bogeyman of religious liberals is the “rising threat” of “white Christian nationalism.” I know alot of conservative Christians and not one has told me that Lutherans are not saved or that only Christians should hold office. But according to Elizabeth Eaton, head bishop of the liberal Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, that is what Christian nationalists believe. I doubt it . You will notice in the below video, Eaton talks about her non-Christian neighbors but not a hint of her sharing Christ with them. Eaton told a Chicago newspaper that, if Hell exists, she believes it is empty. It makes sense then that Eaton to my knowledge has never once talked about bringing lost people to Christ. But Eaton did go to the White Hoise to promote abortion rights. Sincerely in Christ, Pastor Tom Brock "ELCA 2018 in Review" is a video made by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The video states, “2018 brought many blessings to this church and beyond…” and then they go on to list many things they seem to be proud of, things like “(t)hrough the AMMPARO program, 116 welcoming and sanctuary congregations in 30 synods.” Sounds like sanctuary congregations are a source of pride for the ELCA. See video below:

(The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.) Bishop Deborah Hutterer of the Grand Canyon Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is hosting a Fall Gathering to inspire her pastors. One speaker will share Native American spirituality and the other speaker is a pro-abortion rights, pro-transgender pastor who has used the “f” word when preaching. First, the Native American… “This year, our gathering is blessed to feature Elder Perci Ami, an esteemed Hopi/Tewa grandmother, author, and storyteller. Elder Perci Ami is renowned for her work in healing broken spirits and minds through her traditional beliefs and compelling storytelling…Her journey as a healer, educator, and earth protector brings a unique and enriching perspective.” I have a question. Is this speaker a Christian? Nowhere in the retreat’s description of her is Jesus or Christianity mentioned. To me, it sounds more like a New Age type message. The second speaker is ELCA Pastor Andrea Roske-Metcalfe. A few years ago Roske-Metcalfe preached that church members should refer to a woman who identifies as a man as "they". She also preached at the ELCA’s Augsburg University, using the f-word, and saying that Jesus screwed up and the Syrophoenician woman had to redeem Jesus. At a pro-choice gathering she held a sign proclaiming that the Virgin Mary is evidence that we should be pro-choice and the sign called her opponents “mother-f....ers". These are the people this Arizona bishop brings in to inspire her ELCA pastors. Sincerely in Christ, Pastor Tom Brock -- (See article here) As Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America was beginning her first term as leader of the denomination, she gave a interview to the Toledo newspaper. In it she said,
"The decision we took in 2009 to say that if called by God and if having the gifts to serve, partnered gay people can serve, I think that was the right decision..." (see here) The ELCA officially took this position 15 years ago. People embracing sin and living in it unrepentantly, are ordained to be pastors in the ELCA. In addition, ELCA churches are allowed to have marriage ceremonies for gay persons. This decision in 2009 accelerated the downward spiral to depravity regarding sexuality within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Today the denomination also ordains bisexuals and transgenders.

The below two minute video is of a gay pride worship service of a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. During the prayer Jesus is referred to as God’s “Child” (“Son” would be sexist) and states: “You sent your Beloved Child to dissolve the binaries”. Really? Jesus said that God made us binary, male and female (see Matthew 19:4-6). The pastor reads from a children's book “’Twas the night before Pride…the drag queens all brushed their wigs with great care.” A youth tells his/her/their story of coming out as transgender. During communion the pastor tells everyone to “Bring your trans bodies, your bodies destined for metamorphosis, your scarred bodies, your pierced bodies…”
The good news is, as you can see from the video, almost nobody attends this church. In Jesus our Savior, Pastor Tom Brock

If you want evidence that teenagers are being indoctrinated with a liberal political viewpoint in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, look no further. The below video is from this month’s ELCA Youth Gathering. In Christ, Pastor Tom Brock (The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.) The national Teen Gathering of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in New Orleans has just concluded. The ELCA has produced the below five minute video of the week. I heard Jesus mentioned just once, when a liberal ELCA bishop says “Jesus calls us to challenge systems of oppression and power”. A transgender, non-binary, “they/them” pastor (minute 3:00) tells the youth not to be pressured into being who other people want them to be. Another speaker also tells the teens they need to be who they are, and Elizabeth Eaton, head bishop of the ELCA, tells the teens “You can be disruptive”. There is a good kind of disruption, such as rebelling against the evils of our culture like abortion, homosexuality, transgenderism, etc. But that is not what the ELCA is talking about. The ELCA endorses abortion rights, homosexuality, and transgenderism. It is no wonder Jesus is just mentioned once. In some liberal circles, Jesus is no longer the Savior who saves us from sin, dead and Hell. According to some of them, Hell does not exist. Bishop Eaton told a Chicago newspaper that if Hell exists, she believes it is empty. So what does Jesus save us from? The liberal view of Jesus makes Him sound like a community organizer who saves us from oppressive systems of power (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia). But if that is true, why didn’t Jesus attempt to overthrow the oppressive Romans? The reason is that He is a much bigger Savior who saves us from our much bigger enemies: Sin, death, and Hell. I wonder if the ELCA teens heard that message. In Christ, Pastor Tom Brock PS I hope the person hugging the teens at minute 2:00 is not a drag queen, but I am not sure In a prelude to the ELCA Youth Gathering this week, the ELCA held the Multicultural Youth Leadership Event (MYLE). The ELCA describes it as "(a) pre-event of the Gathering and the largest gathering of people of color within the ELCA, the Multicultural Youth Leadership Event (MYLE) empowers young people of color and those whose primary language is not English to claim their story as part of God’s story." (See here) As you can see in the pictures, a speaker at the event took the stage with Palestinian flags hanging from his neck. The speaker is Rev. Khader El-Yateem, the Executive Director for ELCA Service and Justice. The ELCA has a long history of advocacy against Israel and for "Palestine." (See here and here) The ELCA is representing it to youth attending their event, during a time of evil, carnage, violence and rape perpetrated against innocent Israelis by "Palestine" (on Oct 7, 2023 and continuing in many ways including launching rockets at civilians in Israel.) See pictures on the ELCA synod's Facebook page here.
