Transgender Youth And His Advocate Mother are Speakers at 2018 ELCA Youth Gathering

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has chosen a transgender boy and his transgender advocacy activist mom to be speakers at the 2018 ELCA Youth Gathering. (see below and this link)

The boy (who wants to be a girl) is just 12 years old and has been carted around the United States to speak for transgender rights.

Over 30,000 teenagers will be attending the ELCA Youth Gathering, and I can guarantee the transgender lifesyle will be presented as something to be celebrated.

This is an egregious example of the ELCA's indoctrination of the youth of the denomination.

The ELCA has been pushing their Bible-defying viewpoints on membership since it was formed in 1988. And it just keeps getting worse.

Transgenderism is the latest cause. And the ELCA is striking out against the will of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, and teenagers are in their cross-hairs.

Kevin DeYoung writes, "The Bible teaches that God made us male or female, and no matter our own feelings or confusion, we should act in accordance with the biological reality of God’s good design. Transgenderism falls short of the glory of God and is not the way to walk in obedience to Christ." (see here)

God does not desire children or adults to reject their God-given genders, mutilate their bodies and pretend to live as the opposite sex. They need to be helped out of their confusion and embrace the truth of their biological sex.

But that will not be taught at the 2018 ELCA Youth Gathering.

Sadly and infuriatingly, the trans-advocate mother and son are not the only troubling speakers the ELCA has hired to speak to the 30,000 impressionable teens. ELCA's Rev. Tuhina Verma Rasche is one of the Gathering keynote speakers. She is an outspoken radical and controversial pastor, who gained fame in the ELCA for co-authoring the (please excuse the vulgarity) "Fuck This Shit" devotional, is an advocate for premarital sex, and when you read her tweets, you will find it displays lots of anger, swearing, demonitization of white males, racist comments about white people, liberal politics, gay pride, trans pride and anger at the United States of America. ELCA Rev. Nadia Bolz-Weber is another keynote speaker at the ELCA Youth Gathering. She is a foul-mouthed, proponent of premarital sex, supporter of Planned Parenthood, who has many theological beliefs that run contrary to Scripture. She is a universalist who has presided over a transgender re-naming ceremony and has had a drag queen emcee her church's children's program. (read more about Rev. Bolz-Weber here and here)

The ELCA's SJW causes du jour have everything to do with currying the world's favor and nothing to do with God's Word, Lutheranism as biblically exegeted by Martin Luther, and logic/philosophy/science.

I'll post this again (rhetorically here). How come this sort of thing isn't on the posters that are up in pretty much every ELCA church? If the pastors are asking for donations to send the kids of the congregation to this event, how come they don't list the speakers and their backgrounds?

Dave, I agree with you. As a pastor who left the ELCA I will also tell you that I do know of pastors in the ELCA who are fighting this - and who are not just willingly sending the children to slaughter. You are correct. Pray for those who cannot see the Truth for what it is that they may have their eyes opened, pray for the children that do end up participating that they may be shielded and protected from this perversion and pray for those still in the ELCA (leaders, & laity) that they may be delivered and redeemed.

I can't help but feel that judgment (katakrino) has already overtaken those who place themselves BEYOND repentance! "Whoever offends one of these little ones who believes in me, it would be better if....When we can no longer hear the Father's voice, repent and return home from the far country, its GAME OVER! Just think of it! And THAT scares the hell out of me and my phony humility, "Thy will be done". . Even Paul raised the question about having "disqualified" himself after preaching to others. Lord have mercy on us "little foxes in your vineyard".(Song of Sol. 2:15) and save is by your GRACE.

I honestly think that many congregations just blindly send their youth to an "important-big-national" gathering without even taking a look at the agenda and speakers. The elca keeps getting weirder and further from any sense of Scripture and its authority.

You are right on with your thoughts Jack Richards. "elca" is not following Scripture. We are to embrace the sinner and turn them from their sin, not embrace the sin.

What else will our "pharisee" ELCA leadership have planned for the "big show" this summer? In looking at the program list on the website there are some positive "token" speakers to encourage participants willing to attend & spend the $$.

I've watched the ELCA deteriorate since its beginning. How shameful it has come to this--although we shouldn't be surprised because of all the compromising they have done with God's Word. It's time to get back to the bible!! How many innocent people are being drug to their demise because of this teaching. They will be held responsible on judgement day.

I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE ELCA, WE LEFT ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO AND HA;VE BUILT A NEW LUTHERAN CHURCH WHICH IS ALREADY ALMOST PAID FOR. WE HAD ABOUT 140 FOLLOW AND LEFT THE ELCA. MY CONCERN IS THAT MY DAUGHTER AND SON IN LAW AND OUR TWO GRANDKIDS ARE STILL THERE AND MY OLDEST GRANDSON WENT TO THE NATIONAL GATHERING THIS YEAR EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM ABOUTS THE SPEAKERS. I PRAY THEY WILL SEE LIGHT SOON. PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM.
