White Privilege and Topless Women

The ELCA’s Western Iowa Synod is publicizing a "White Privilege Conference" to synod members, saying, "All are encouraged to participate." (see below) The conference is sponsored in part by the Transgender Training Institute. (see here)

Ron Havick is an ELCA pastor at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Chula Vista, California. In one of his Facebook posts, he seems to be advocating for women to be able to walk around topless in public and chiding Christians for not agreeing. Here is his post and more of his comments below. The vast majority of Pastor Ron Hovick's Facebook posts contain anger at Republicans and President Trump. However, once in a while, he posts something nonpolitical like this
quote from heretic, John Dominic Crossan, about Bible stories being symbolic. What?!?! An ELCA pastor who doesn't believe the accounts of Scripture actually happened? Unbelievable!

It's hard to come across a raging liberal Evangelical Lutheran Church in America pastor without finding that they also demonize Israel. Pastor Hovick is no exception. The post below shows his support of an extremely biased report which calls Israel an apartheid state.

Imagine our surprise to hear news of yet another ELCA ear-tickling pastor courting the world's favor. And, naturally, he "faithfully" meets the criteria for ear-tickling preachers:

Why are ELCA pastors and bishops mesmerized by heretics like Marcus Borg, you ask? Like ELCA clerics, Borg disdainfully rejected any Bible truths he personally didn't like:

..."Even though he professed Christianity, Borg was frank about rejecting nearly all core Christian beliefs. The “pre-Easter Jesus is a figure of the past, dead and gone. He isn’t anywhere,” with talk about his corpse or an empty tomb merely “irrelevant distractions.” Only an arrogant, delusional Jesus would have claimed divinity or predicted resurrection, Borg noted, adding, “We have categories of psychology for people who talk that way about themselves.”

"Accordingly Borg didn’t think God answered prayer, didn’t believe in a specific afterlife, didn’t think Christianity was uniquely true or would even necessarily persist, and did not believe in a creator God or even a personal God, concepts more suitable for children who lack “critical thinking” than for adults.

"Raised in a traditional Lutheran home, Borg apparently first gained enlightenment through liberal theology at Union Seminary in New York. ** more authoritative than the Bible, which it regularly amends and annuls at its conventions.

How long will you remain in and keep propping up this counterfeit church?

Good info, Didaskalos. In this age of The Shack, Bell, Crossan, Hovick, etc., the 5 signs and other links are a wake-up call. Here are some other signs of erroneous/heretical leanings that have been noticed:
1. The Cross is not prominently displayed.
2. The denom. name contains "United"
3. Scripture is seldom quoted verbatim
4. Sin and repentance are seldom mentioned.

Yes indeed. The cross is at the heart of the Christian faith and yet dismissed quite prominently from Christian sermons. Why is that?

New Testament Scripture esp. from St. Paul is seldom quoted verbatim because revisionist theologians, etc. have a secret biased hate for St. Paul's insistence that Christ's death on the cross is for us sinners.

This also relates to the above last point about sin and repentance. It is seldom mentioned or used in today's revisionist churches because they believe fundamentally to have erased the function of sin in the calling to repentance.

Christ as Savior is no longer needed.

This is so contrary to both the New Testament and our Lutheran Confessions.

The ELCA is reaping what it has sown .

ELCA Pastors with any smidgen of orthodoxy within them are in a most uncomfortable position: Their ship has already struck the iceberg, and their tasking seems to be a furious rearrangement of the deck chairs. Only the date of the actual sinking is still open to speculation.
Well, ladies and gentleman: It's never too late to seek the grace of Our Lord.
