2022 ELCA Churchwide Assembly happens in a couple weeks. On the docket:

"Proposals (known as memorials) from the ELCA's 65 synods that address social justice issues and matters relating to the structure of the ELCA, including greenhouse gas reduction; gun violence; LGBTQIA+ welcome; pastoral counseling as a result of changes to Roe v. Wade; the land back movement; ELCA governance restructure; specialized ministries and on leave from call status; and review and revision of the ELCA social statement Human Sexuality: Gift and Trust, adopted by the 2009 Churchwide Assembly."

It gets worse the more you dig into the article. Including "The Landback Movement". If you look at the front page of the "Landback" website it says, "Not only does Mount Rushmore sit in the heart of the sacred Black Hills, but it is an international symbol of white supremacy and colonization." Tell that doesn't terrify you in the agenda these individuals are pushing.

Because their agendas are virtually identical, the ELCA could save some of its rapidly diminishing finances by holding its Churchwide Assembly concurrently with, and in the same venue as, the Democrat Party convention.

The synod has had enough time to screen out delegates that may not agree with all their assembly issue positions. The "gaslighting" that will go on at the assembly will produce more than enough propaganda to spread to the shrinking ELCA churches for the next 3 years until they gather again. Apparently gun violence is on the agenda but will the big bishop should address the regular weekly killings in her own backyard of Chicago. Requiring all delegates to wear N95 masks is certainly fitting & perhaps blindfolds plus ear protection might also be appropriate gear too.

Think what the ELCA could be doing -- besides fulfilling Jesus' Great Commission, its foremost neglected imperative from Him -- if it decided to stop obeying the world's commands and follow Jesus:
