The strange new world of ELCA sexuality: The new Lutheran transgender bishop is a "they"

Below is a glowing article from the website of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America about the denomination's recently elected first transgender bishop. This may be the first transgender bishop of any denomination anywhere as the ELCA leads the way in embracing new sexualities. The ELCA has also had two practicing homosexual bishops, one of which retired as bishop and is now an ELCA seminary president.

If you read the below article you will notice the transgender bishop is not referred to as "she" but as "they." This is the bizarre, new world of a denomination that has abandoned biblical sexuality and has embraced a secular world-view.

It's loathsome enough that the clerical hirelings who surfeit the ELCA preach and practice transgenderism, homosexuality, and fornication among themselves. But when they debauch children with their ungodly apostasies, they are courting hellfire. "But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea."

Are the people reading The living lutheran really not learned enough about the Holy Scriptures that articles like this are acceptable to them?? Although I don't consider myself a Lutheran, I had begun attending an elca church.....Had no idea then what was going on....But reading the magazine was the first eye opener for me. Surely people know in their gut that this is not right.
I thank God for showing me Truth, and then finding this website telling me what I needed to know. God bless you for running this website and may it receive more and more notice. And be heeded.

“Social religion” is exactly what it is. But why can’t these people (pastors, ELCA ) SEE this? Are they so gullible, naive and indoctrinated that they can’t or won’t hear the Truth?
Or is this pure evil at work? DO they really know what they’re promoting and are pursuing so diligently.

I have unfortunately attended a few of these ‘woke’ ELCA services with my Lutheran in-laws. They twist the English language every which way they can to make sure they don’t say ‘He,’ ‘His’ or ‘Him’ when referencing the Father. It is sadly laughable as they say ‘God this, God that, God, God, God,,,’. I laugh to myself, however when they come to The Lord’s Prayer and have to say ‘Our Father.’ They haven’t found a way to weasel out of that one. If ‘Father’ is good enough for Jesus, it is certainly good enough for me.

Was listening to the Dan Bongino show. He was talking about how public schools are leftist Marxist indoctrination factories. The ELCA is no different.
