As the saying goes, “Show me your friends, and I’ll tell you who you are.” Who are the bedfellows of the ELCA? In a past blog, Exposing the ELCA revealed the close ties and similar ideologies the ELCA has with the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations. (read here)
Now we find that the ELCA is also very close with an organization called the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). Here is some information about the ISNA:
So with that information about the ISNA and the Muslim Brotherhood, let's look at the relationship the ELCA has with the ISNA:
And,
The ELCA leadership is working with and partnering with the ISNA, an organization that is said to have very close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. If this doesn't make ELCA members question what kind of denomination they are members of, I don't know what will.

I called the Seattle office and asked what teaching materials they had to educate congregations about islam. Silence. I started again with a simpler question. Oh,...Type islam into the site search window. OK...and there comes a bunch of araticles. Looking into the articles; they are authored by a muzzie. The quran translation is approved by a imam associated with the MB and the materials are provided by ISNA!

I was a pastor in the ELCA from 1981 - 1997. I served on the ELCA' task force on abortion. From 1989 - 1991. I saw the machinations of the church from close up in Chicago. I left because I saw the "writing on the wall". The homosexual issue was no surprise. But to embrace Islam as a co-equal with Christianity, as the ELCA is apparently doing, is a new low for a once Christian Church. No more. I see no reason to consider the clergy in the ELCA as any more than "false teacher", apostates. From the top down the ELCA has ceased to be Christian.
