"The Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Program is for congregations, synods, colleges, seminaries, and other Lutheran organizations. Lutheran communities that publicly welcome lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people by having a statement affirming this welcome by specifically saying either, 'LGBT' or 'people of all sexual orientations and gender identities' in their statement, are accepted onto the Reconciling in Christ list..." (See here) He and many others want to force ELCA churches to declare LGBT lifestyles and sexual relations "good." That is what "welcome" means in the ELCA and RIC. Additionally, the pastoral student posted these tweets calling a video which views homosexuality from the Biblical perspective as "anti LGBT" and trying to put pressure on Youtube and Google for letting them post a video about their beliefs.
If you click on the "Oct. 14, 2018" link on the tweet you will see all the additional news outlets Andrew tweeted about this.

Finding that there are still pockets of biblical resistance to the all-gay-all-the-time agitprop of denominational "leaders," the ELCA is moving to dragoon the pockets of confessional-Lutheran resistance into Cool Hand Luke professions of submission: "I've got my mind right, boss."

Too often folks that demand tolerance from others have little tolerance for any other point of view! All are welcome but only if you agree with me!!

This issue split my family. I, along with my daughter’s family, left our ELCA church, while my son’s family stayed. The vote to marry gay couples was rammed through the allowing anyone in 8th grade or older to vote. The youth worker pushed the youth group and Sunday School kids to vote “yes” because “love is love”. Many of my older friends have stayed because they are entrenched there for sentimental reasons. They close their ears to the liberal sermons and have no idea what the ELCA is really up to. This church, formerly one of the largest in the SEPA synod is losing members while the non-denominational, Bible-believing Church I attend now is packed every Sunday at both services.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
