Here is an interesting list of the resolutions adopted at the Saint Paul Area Synod Assembly. Of course they voted to oppose the Minnesota Marriage Amendment (the MN amendment defines marriage to be only between one man and one woman.

When may we expect an ELCA synod *anywhere* to pass a resolution resolving that the Lord Jesus Christ's imperative in Matthew 28 will become -- as it always should have been -- the church's first priority, both here in this country and in the world?

Seriously - a resolution was needed to become an "anti-racist church?" So, is every synod who doesn't have a resolution like that considered pro-racist? I would have thought being "anti-racist" was a fairly self-evident goal, without needing to proclaim it in a resolution. It's ridiculous and borderline silly, if it weren't so sad!!!

Based on the ELCA's mideast policy, I would be more impressed if they promised to become a less anti-Semitic church.
