Report from ELCA Synod Middle School Retreat

In April, 2022 the Lower Susquehanna Synod of the ELCA held a middle school youth retreat. (See here)

Jonah Davis, a queer transgender individual (see here), spoke to the youth at the ELCA retreat as the keynote speaker.

Exposing the ELCA received the following report about this retreat:

"This event though the link may seem innocent enough. But the first activity during the camp, the kids were asked for their pronouns. All references to God the father were changed to God the Parent. And they had a transman, a woman pretending to be a man speak to the children. But only partially about his coming out story and how he was hurt by people he loved when he came out as trans."

"I was especially uncomfortable with the changing of scripture from John 15. Removing any mention of God the Father and replacing "father" with "parent." A pastor even mentioned the Holy Trinity as "the parent, the sibling, and the holy spirit." It is truly disturbing to see how far they will go to destroy the Lutheran Church from within with their new woke religion."

Indoctrinating the youth with beliefs that contradict what God tells us in the Bible is a ploy of Satan. Please do not send your children to anything involving the ELCA.

so they are still choosing speakers of very dubious content.
Words are of supreme importance! We are responsible for the words we speak. And listen to......
Please, people, get out of this denomination!! Do NOT allow your children to be anywhere close to this influence1

The new sexual regime -- within and without the ELCA -- takes no prisoners. Children are the prime targets of the debauchees.

In *Render Unto Caesar*, Archbishop Charles Chaput writes:

"Evil talks about tolerance when it’s weak. When it’s strong, real tolerance gets kicked out the door. This in turn explains a lot about our current cultural climate. To put it simply — evil cannot bear the counter-witness of truth. It cannot co-exist peacefully with goodness, because evil insists on being seen as right and worshiped as being right. Therefore, the good must be made to seem hateful and wrong."

I think America has been persuaded that tolerance is the supreme virtue, but it is not so. Charity, prudence, justice, mercy, honesty, chastity — these are true virtues. Fidelity to God’s laws about marriage and sexual conduct is not intolerance. It’s the only choice befitting believers."

Who addresses his father or mother as "Parent"?

On earth, there is no such thing as a parent (singular) who is neither male nor female. And non-existent things do not serve well as metaphors for God.

In addition to explaining that God is not literally a man nor literally our sire, maybe Jonah Davis should also explain that Jesus in not literally a vine and I am not literally a branch...Oh, wait!...everybody already knows all of that. Never mind.

Just saw on citizen free press a San Francisco ELCA nut job bishop identifies as “they” resigning because of allegations of racism against “they.” Can’t make this stuff up. Get yourself and your children out of this denomination!!

That was Megan Rohrer, Bishop of the Sierra Pacific Synod of the ELCA. She's the one who made a children's video alleging that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Daniel 3:12) were transgender women.
