'Queerness is Holy' at ELCA Synod Church Plant

Rev. Emily Scott is the pastor at Dreams and Visions. (see here) it is a newer church plant of the ELCA's Delaware-Maryland Synod. (Rev. Scott once speak at an ELCA National Youth Gathering.)

The church website says "Worship is Queering and spirit-led, invites truth-telling and gratitude, and moves us toward God’s dream of justice." (See the second picture below)

Elsewhere on the church homepage it says "we seek to be a place where..." "False binaries are left behind" and 'Queerness is holy." See below.

On the church "about" page they write: "The ELCA is a denomination that supports the lives and ministries of LGBTQ people and, does incredible work with refugees and immigrants. The local expression of our denomination called the Delaware-Maryland Synod. Bishop Bill Gohl, Dr. Amsalu Geleta, and the Synod Council have all worked together so that Dreams and Visions might come into being"

Money going to the ELCA is helping pay for this kind of church and teaching.

The ELCA needs to send memos to Jesus and Martin Luther to get them up to speed with its latest world-mollifying "realities."

Martin Luther's OLD and UNWOKE: ". . .they departed from the natural passion and longing of the male for the female, which is implanted into nature by God, and desired what is altogether contrary to nature. Whence comes this perversity? Undoubtedly from Satan, who after people have once turned away from the fear of God, so powerfully suppresses nature that he blots out the natural desire and stirs up a desire that is contrary to nature." Physiophobia has become the ELCA's entrenched derangement:

It has the virtue of alluding both to the body and to the way things are; to the material and the formal; it applies to the blade of grass and to the God who made it. And the ELCA's reality-rejecting physiophobes are driving their denomination to extinction: "The ELCA itself has made clear it is on the path to collapse: by 2041, denominational officials project a Sunday morning attendance of only 16,000 worshippers.”

"Binary" means "involving a condition of two alternatives" (as, for example, on-off or male-female).

When transgenderists speak of being "non-binary," they're asserting that the classification of humans (or other animals) as male or female is arbitrary and invalid.

The problem is that they merely encourage men to become women and women to become men: they can't seem to come up with that third gender.

Agreed. The ELCA doesn't seem to understand that changing genders is simply impossible. Castrating a stallion doesn't make him into a mare; it only makes him into a gelding. And nobody counts geldings as a third gender of horses.

Impossible, Mike, both from the standpoints of science and God's Word. In this apostasy, as with its many apostasies and heresies, the ELCA is playing with fire.

Anthony Esolen writes:
