Judge Decides Eau Claire Church Keys Have to Go to Dissident ELCA Supporting Minority
(From Dean Kallenbach)
This afternoon in Polk County Circuit Court in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, Judge Molly GaleWyrick ruled that the Synod Council's recent ruling that the duly elected council of Grace Lutheran Church must turn over leadership of the church to the group that left the congregation to form the Amazing Grace congregation. The judge ordered them to turn the keys over by 5 p.m. this afternoon.
I will share further details and comments from the elected Grace leadership when it becomes available.

My prayers go out to the faithful members of Grace who have just been railroaded by their heterodox minority, working in league with a liberalized, God-hating political system. But as their struggles have matured their faith in Jesus Christ, they will find or build a new location to worship Him. And I am willing to contribute a small sum monetarily in such an endeavor, to these folks. But the Church cannot be contained by a building. The winners of the lawsuit may be gloating now, but I pray more for their eternal destiny than I do for that of those who lost, because in the end they will win eternally. It's sad to see that their magnificent original sanctuary will ultimately be desecrated or razed, but they will find a new location, and ultimately live in temples built not by hands, in the New Jerusalem, as they remain faithful to the Lord into whose Name they have been baptized into, and continue to trust Him as their Savior, and serve Him as Lord! Built on the Rock of Christ, the Church will stand. Even when steeples are falling. Be of good cheer, Pastors Nestigen and Irgens, and your flock. Your Shepherd knows you by name, and shall never leave nor forsake you. The Kingdom's yours forever. You have fought the good fight, you will claim the prize, the Word and Sacrament will continue to nourish you as you serve Jesus Christ, who has called you by the Holy Spirit. And nothing will snatch you from His flock. May your night of weeping bring forth the morn of song!

This ruling was immediately devastating to us. When a judge can so blatantly disregard laws and rights, it's hard to comprehend. But this battle has made us so much stronger in Christ. We feel we need to continue our battle against the unconstitutional, unlawful take over of our church. That being said, we have formed a community of strength, calling ourselves, "Saving Grace". We will worchip somewhere. We will praise him everywhere. We will . His will be done.
