Gaza: False Claims and Misinformation Highlight the Latest ELCA Attack on Israel

It has been about one week since the top bishop in the ELCA called for the destruction of the Jewish state by, in essence, saying she wants over 5 million "Palestinians" to be imported into Israel. (see here) Now she is preaching the propaganda of Hamas and their cronies, placing blame on Israel, which is typical of the ELCA, regarding the violent riots and attempt to infiltrated Israel on the Gaza/Israeli boarder, in this new declaration called “ELCA presiding bishop's pastoral message on situation in Gaza.”

The ELCA Presiding Bishop writes:

“Like so many here in our country and around the world, I am appalled and saddened by yesterday's escalation of Israeli military action against protestors in Gaza. Many reports indicate that at least 60 Palestinians, including six children, have died and more than 2,000 have been injured as a result of Israel's disproportionate use of force.”

She claims the the protesters are "Palestinian civilians." And then Eaton declares her endorsement of a Lutheran bishop in Israel:

“I endorse Bishop Sani-Ibrahim Azar's call ‘upon the Israeli government to show restraint and to pursue negotiations with Palestinian leaders rather than choosing violent action against unarmed protestors.’"

She also shared her displeasure with the U.S. Embassy being moved to Jerusalem.

And at the end of the message ELCA Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton reiterated her call for a divided Jerusalem and for it to be a capital for Israel and Palestine. (see here)

ELCA Presiding Bishop Eaton is not being truthful when she claims the Palestinian protesters are "unarmed." See the links below, some of which document gunfire toward nearby Jewish cities, powerful slingshots, grenades, bombs, etc. used by the Palestinians. There are also credible reports that many of the Palestinians protesting are being paid by their government to be there.

A few news articles below also report at least 53 of those killed by the Israeli Defense Forces were members of terrorists groups (Hamas and Islamic Jihad), that Israel dropped leaflets telling everyone to stay away from the boarder fence, and that there have been attempts to break down the fence.

Notice too, that Bishop Eaton did not call on the Palestinians to end their violent actions against the Jewish State.

If you support Israel, it is time to leave this left-wing, radical denomination that pushes anti-Israel propaganda.

1.This was not a protest against the opening of the American embassy in Jerusalem. There have been 6 weeks of reported and well-orchestrated riots [ http://www.high-level-military-group.org/pdf/hlmg-smoke-mirrors-six-weeks-violence-gaza-border.pdf ] on the Gaza border. These were always intended to culminate on the 70th anniversary of what the Palestinians call the “Nakba”, or the “catastrophe”. This was when the modern state of Israel was born, under the auspices of the UN, and its Arab neighbours instigated, and lost, a war to eradicate Israel.

2. Neither are the riots against the blockade of Gaza (imposed by both Israel and Egypt as a security measure). If they were, it would make little sense for the Gazans to set fire to the gas pipeline [ https://www.timesofisrael.com/palestinian-protesters-sabotage-gaza-gas-lines-for-2nd-straight-week/] and infrastructure that delivers fuel and gas from Israel to Gaza, or to burn the terminal that receives humanitarian aid [ https://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-to-reopen-gaza-crossing-after-rioters-burn-it-for-3rd-time/].

The seemingly innocuous label of “protest” disguises the fact that Hamas’s “Great March of Return” was in fact an attempted infiltration of the border that, had it succeeded, would have led to a massacre of Israeli civilians. Hamas explicitly urged participants to breach the border and slaughter as many Israelis as possible [ https://www.timesofisrael.com/idf-gears-up-for-mass-gaza-riots-warning-hamas-plans-to-massacre-israelis/ ]. One of the places Hamas attempted to breach is adjacent to the kibbutz of Nahal Oz, just a few hundred yards from the border — a dash that could be achieved in 5 minutes or less by those intent on slaughter. Hamas circulated information showing the shortest routes to Israeli communities over the border, and urged participants to bring knives and guns.

4. Not only were there knives and guns, Gazans brought meat cleavers, fence-cutters, rocks, Molotov cocktails, grenades, kites with incendiary materials that set fire to Israeli farmland, and set explosive devices at the security fence.

5. The IDF dropped leaflets on Gaza [ https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/srael-gaza-us-embassy-protests-opening-jerusalem-border-fence-leaflets-a8350511.html ], telling them to stay away from the border, and rang bus companies to tell them not to take people to the border. As photos and footage clearly show, the IDF used tear gas to repel the attacks, as well as rubber bullets.

In just over one hour, the IDF recorded five explosive devices at 12:53 p.m.; another bombing attack five minutes later; six terrorists taking cover among the rioters at 1:15 p.m., opening fire at IDF soldiers; another shooting attack at 1:30 p.m., and another 15 minutes later, this time by eight armed terrorists; three explosive devices detonated at 2:09 p.m.
