ELCA Wolves in Sheep's Clothing – July 2013

Metropolitan New York Synod posted this on their Facebook page: “Hey--we recognize those people! Pastor Mark Erson and Pastor Heidi Neumark celebrated the overturning of the Defense of Marriage Act yesterday at the Stonewall Inn.” (see the Metropolitan Facebook page here)

Sierra Pacific Synod Bishop Mark Holmerud referencing the ELCA 2009 decision to ordain practicing homosexual pastors said the ELCA is now “a better reflection of the light of Christ." (see video below)

Based on the bishop's comment, it must mean that those that disagree with the 2009 ELCA decision must be a “poorer reflection of the light of Christ.”

The Bible says it well -

“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” Matthew 7:15

The Bible to Bishop Holmerud: "Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds."

Here's one thing the world-pleasing ELCA needs never fear: going to jail for defending and articulating the truths of the Bible. (That's the real Bible, not the ELCA Revised, Convention-Amended Bible.)

"At the risk of sounding a bit apocalyptic, I'm fully convinced that this is part of His divine plan - perhaps to begin separating the wheat from the chaff. We have arrived: 'As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.' Matthew 24:37." . . .

"In my 35 years as a Christian, I never seriously believed we might end up in prison for our faith - except, perhaps, for something like a pro-life demonstration. This is the first time it seriously occurs to me that the trajectory of the nation is such that it is possible in five to 10 years. Oddly, this thought does not discourage or scare me; in fact, it's almost a joyful thought that we might have the privilege to suffer for our faith. Rejoice greatly when men revile and persecute you for my name's sake, for your reward is great in Heaven (a rough paraphrase of Matthew 5:12)." . . .

Bishop David Brauer-Rieke of the Oregon synod also marched in Pride, he also served communion before the parade. I don't know what to say. Here's a photo:
