ELCA Pastor Nadiz Bolz-Weber, Gloria Steinem, mocking purity rings and vagina sculpture

Nadia Bolz-Weber, upcoming preacher at the Youth Gathering of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, has tweeted a picture of herself and Gloria Steinem at a feminist conference saying "I may have just, in front of an audience, looked at Gloria Steinem and said that if I manage to get women to mail me their purity rings to be melted into a sculpture of a vagina, I would give it to her as a thank-you gift."

Instead of disciplining this heretical pastor, the ELCA invites her to speak at events. I am part of a clergy Facebook page for ELCA and former ELCA pastors and it is tragic to see some of them defend all this.

Bolz-Weber is at the forefront of the ELCA's ministry of grudge and groin, but she is by no means an army of one. She has a back-up crew of hundreds of allies, cronies, and dupes who are spending YOUR offerings and memorials on today's heresy and tomorrow's apostasy. Every year you can watch synodical spending rise on their filth and fringe politics, while missions and evangelism dwindle.
DE-FUND THEM! SERIOUSLY!!
Don't attend their gatherings, don't buy their books, don't support any venue for their message, and DON'T put one red cent into your offering plate which could be spent on any of these or worse. If you aren't ready to leave your ELCA congregation yet, at least replace your check with a polite note to the effect that a donation has been made in their name to Gideons International, until you hear them commend the God we trust and the United States of America, which are the terms printed on your money. Or, even better, set up a scholarship fund for youth to attend the March for Life. Of course, keep making your $1 contribution of record, so that you won't lose your vote.

After you've tightened the purse strings, see how many youth want to spend their own allowances on cross-country drivel, and see the study attendances drop to the very few who want to buy $10 installments of paperback heresy. See how much support newly BIVOCATIONAL clergy will give to frauds who have broken their ordination vows. But there's an even better reason to do this ...

"Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." (Matt 6:21). Where your treasure is going right now, is that really where you want your heart to be?

Nadia Bolz-Weber tweeted last December: "It's #ColoradoGivesDay ! I'm supporting Colorado Christian Services (adoption agency) and Planned Parenthood and the Colorado Adolescent Maternity Program so women can continue to have ALL the choices."

"ALL the choices” is, of course, the ELCA feminists' Mengelean-morality Abortionspeak.

One of my complaints about the ELCA is that there are many moderate congregations with more traditional Christians who would be very comfortable in a more traditional Bible-based church (but it is very hard for people to leave a long-time church but that’s another issue).

If you go into any ELCA church, including many relatively conservative ones, you will see posters promoting the upcoming youth gathering in Houston. You will see announcements about fundraisers for the trip. But what you wouldn’t see is anything about speakers or events that go against the values of a large number of church members in these congregations.

As Dave mentioned there are posters in church about the large upcoming summer ELCA gathering, fund raisers have started in ours to promote the event. Today when I checked the official ELCA web site it tells about the youth gathering schedule etc. but NO list of the speakers! Of course "rock star" Nadia Bolz-Weber has it listed on her busy speaking schedule to be there. Large events promote their main program attractions on advance publicity so why keep it secret in this case??
