A pastor in synod leadership in the ELCA, Lura Groen, wrote that on her Facebook page. (see below)

Anything seems to go in the ELCA, from polyamory, to goddess worship, to sexual thoughts about angels and so much more.

The ELCA, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, is a denomination that has twisted the Bible for years. Satan is the biggest perpetrator of twisting the words of God and it looks like Satan is active and in many ways controlling this denomination.

The ELCA has a different version of science, too. A denomination that willfully ignores the Bible's condemnations of its heresies and apostasies will also ignore what science has to say about, e.g., the dangers of puberty blockers given to children.

'FDA warns puberty blocker may cause brain swelling, vision loss in children'

Earlier this month, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration added a warning to gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists, commonly known as “puberty blockers,” indicating there were serious risks for youth who take them.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) identified six cases in females between the ages of 5 and 12, who were taking GnRH agonists, which presented “a plausible association between GnRH agonist use and pseudotumor cerebri.”

Pseudotumor cerebri, also known as idiopathic intracranial hypertension, occurs when the pressure inside your skull spontaneously increases, which can cause brain swelling, severe headaches, nausea, double vision, and even permanent vision loss, according to the Mayo Clinic.

“Although the mechanism by which GnRH agonists may lead to development of pseudotumor cerebri has not been elucidated, and patients with CPP may have a higher baseline risk of developing pseudotumor cerebri compared with children without CPP.”

“This potential serious risk associated with GnRH agonists justifies inclusion in product labeling,” they continued.

Martin Luther agrees with the Apostle Paul about ELCA pastors and bishops.

"To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work." [Titus 1:15-16]

Luther on Gal. 5:16 — “Persisting in sin is disastrous...Those who obey the sinful nature and continue to gratify its desires should know that they don’t belong to Christ. Even though people may label themselves with the name ‘Christian,’ they are only deceiving themselves.” (LW, 27:80)

Luther on John 3:16—“What the Lord Christ wants first and foremost is your heart—a heart that believes in him alone..When you believe in Christ, your heart becomes clean..You will act differently than before. Faith won’t permit you to be a sinner, fornicator, or adulterer any longer. So your entire life will reflect what’s in your heart.” (LW, 22:374)

That should settle the question about sexuality in angels.

Lura Groen used the word "personify" in her post. I suspect she knows perfectly well that righteousness and peace (Psalm 85:10), and wisdom and prudence (Proverbs 8:12) are PERSONIFICATIONS, not lesbian angels. The treatment of goodness and mercy (Psalm 23:6) doesn't even qualify as personification.

Groen is writing merely to "tickle the ears" of her constituents. (See 2 Timothy 4:3).

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." (Genesis 6:4-5 KJV)

"And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." (Jude 6-7 KJV)

"Angels" who flirt with human beings would in fact be demons.

Maybe no one is interested, but here are a couple of passages from the apocryphal Book of Enoch, which some Bible scholars believe Jude was alluding to in verse 6:

"And one of the holy ones came to me and waked me...and said to me and I heard his voice: 'Fear not Enoch, thou righteous man and scribe of righteousness: approach hither and hear my voice. And go, say to the Watchers of heaven: "...Wherefore have ye left the high, holy, eternal heaven, and lain with women, and defiled yourselves with the daughters of men and taken to yourselves wives, and done like the children of earth, and begotten giants as your sons. And though ye were holy, spiritual, living the eternal life, you have defiled yourselves with the blood of women and have begotten children with the blood of flesh, and, as the children of men, have lusted after flesh and blood as those also do who die and perish.... But you were formerly spiritual, living the eternal life, and immortal for all generations of the world. And therefore I have not appointed wives for you; for as for the spiritual ones of the heaven, in heaven is their dwelling. And now, the giants, who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon the earth, and on the earth shall be their dwelling." ' " (1 Enoch 14:25-15:8)

"And Uriel said to me: 'Here shall stand the angels who have connected themselves with women, and their spirits, assuming many different forms, are defiling mankind, and shall lead them astray into sacrificing to demons as gods, here shall they stand, till the day of the great judgment in which they shall be judged till they are made an end of. And the women also of the angels who went astray shall become sirens,' " (1 Enoch 19:1-2)

We know that Jude vv. 14-15 is a direct quote from 1 Enoch 1:9, which proves at least that Jude was familiar with the book.

Lura Groen has previously suggested that Jesus was making a pass at the woman at the well (see Exposed Blog, October 23, 2019). Anyone who would say that must be under a demonic influence.

"These people also, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones.... But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively." (Jude 8, 10)
