ELCA Lutheran pastor says we should not assume Jesus was straight

If you have the stomach for it, go to minute 30 in the below video and watch this pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America say that we should not necessarily assume Jesus was straight. Then the pastor uses the rest of his sermon to explain that Christians have misinterpreted the Bible for 2000 years and the verses which clearly forbid homosexuality, well, they really don't.

I have acquaintances who go to this congregation and I am grieved they are there. Central Lutheran Church of Elk River, Minnesota, left the ELCA years ago and joined a more biblical branch of Lutheranism, but there were liberals who wanted to stay in the ELCA and they formed the below church. The whole worship service below is dedicated to "Reconciling in Christ Sunday', a day in which many ELCA Lutherans celebrate the LGBT movement.

Supporting a sin is a sin. He is definitely mentally confused. He actually thinks he is speaking with biblical authority. Shame on that congregation for supporting sin.

While the ELCA continues relegating itself to the spiritual ash heap, Jesus continues saving countless men and women from homosexual sin and making new creations of them.

They describe the development of their same-sex attractions, what the gay lifestyle was like, what their conversion process was like, and the various ways that Jesus has brought healing to their broken places. “Such Were Some of You” lays out the facts about healing homosexual confusion and rejoices in the reality that Jesus Christ can heal anyone from anything while providing grace for the journey.

My issue is why be ethically and academically dishonest? They have to twist, wrangle, and then postulate through scripture what they think scripture says because they either don't believe what scripture says, or they believe that the Bible is wrong and that they are right. I don't understand how someone can wear a pastor/priest's collar and stand there and twist what scripture says to fit their narrative. Don't they know that judgement waits for them? It is one thing to reach out to those that are LGBT, tell them that God wants them to come to Him, and try to love people where they are. But, it is a whole other thing to twist scripture to fit a narrative that doesn't even exist just to make people feel better.

Modern day Pharisees attempting once again to tarnish the name of our Lord. They will pass away as they did in centuries past without a trace. Jesus Christ will stand above it all. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
