On April 30, 1987, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America was born. Looking back on its 35 year history, head bishop Elizabeth Eaton stated "It's not our intent to water down or minimize the gospel word, but to share the good news to make it rooted in tradition and radically relevant." The ELCA is certainly radical, but has it not watered down the gospel? Eaton told a Chicago newspaper Hell "may exist, but I think it's empty". The ELCA passed a resolution stating that "we do not know" what God thinks of non-Christian religions. The ELCA has the world's first transgender bishop. The ELCA pays for abortion for any reason with offering dollars in the denomination's healthcare plan. The past two years Eaton has produced gay pride videos celebrating June gay pride month (the ELCA ordains practicing homosexuals). If that isn't "watered down", I don't know what is. Sincerely in Christ, Pastor Tom Brock

These unstudied folks do not read the same Bible that Biblical students and lover of the Lord Jesus do. My heart hurts for their utterly deceived minds.

Part of Bishop Eaton's statement is technically correct: the ELCA hasn't "watered down" the Gospel; it has totally eviscerated and abandoned it. After the ELCA finished gutting it, there's not a shred of Gospel left.

Perhaps the question should be "What does God think about the ELCA??" Most members do not know or do not want to hear about the "woke" activities of the synod leaders. The church does not want people that question any of the policies and politics of the ELCA! All we need to hear is the old "Love Your Neighbor" slogan because everyone is going to heaven anyway no matter which path you take.

Wow, That's exactly what the pastor said all the time at the church I left......Love your neighbor. And there are people there who think everyone goes to heaven.

If you are still a Lutheran, make it a New Years resolution to leave this demonic church. If you can’t find a Bible believing church in your area tune into World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, TN. Pastored by Allen Jackson. You’ll be glad you did, so will your soul.

Excellent idea. Even if you're in a Biblical church, record Pastor Jackson's Sunday messages [ https://allenjackson.com/watch/tv-schedule/ ], and sign up for his daily devotional [ https://allenjackson.com/devo/ ]. Make it a top priority to be part of a Bible-believing church if you can, but also take advantage of other Bible-grounded antidotes to the godless propaganda from the world, the media, and sellout denominations like the ELCA.
