A Facebook group for pastors in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is currently conducting a “people of color-only post experiment…” What does that mean? Francisco Herrera, who is part of the 6,000 member ELCA Clergy page explains the one week experiment this way,
“White members of the page are not allowed to comment nor post…” (quotes come from a closed group FB page here and here. Or see the screenshot below for the second quote)
Isn't denying all white people from posting because they are white, racist?
This is a great example of the liberal, foolish antics happening constantly on the ELCA Clergy page. Toss in the anti-Biblical beliefs and rhetoric found there and you have a perfect picture of what the ELCA is about.
Here is what one of the few conservative ELCA pastors left in the denomination had to say about the ELCA Clergy FB page:
“I finally got fed up with all the silly and self-righteous posturing and unfollowed the ‘other’ group. Every time I checked in my relationship with the ELCA became more tenuous. That group is Exhibit A of why folks continue to leave the ELCA in droves, and they don't get it. They think we are all just a bunch of terrible racists, even though NALC and LCMC treat people in minority groups with far more respect than the ELCA.”
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
