ELCA Bishop Teaches that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were Transgender Slaves

A bishop in the ELCA is teaching that the three faithful Jewish followers of God; Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, whom we read about in Scripture (Daniel 3), were transgender slaves.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America bishop Megan Rohrer, is transgender. And in a Facebook post last weekend, she shared her youtube video of her retelling this story. The video is titled "Transgender slaves Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego Follow God When Fancy People Do Not." (See here)

In one part of the Bishop's retelling of the story the ELCA bishop talks about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego eating different foods than the others in the King's court saying,

"they were able to get away
with it because their bodies continued
to please the king
and others in the court who liked to
look at them
and probably other stuff"

How can any faithful follower of Jesus remain in a denomination whose leaders are twisting and teaching falsely God's Word?

The tragedy of ELCA apostate clergy is that they haven’t seen the spiritual peril of their willful sin and their corruption of children and parishioners with the doctrines of demons they’re preaching.

“There’s a difference between sinning, knowing it, and being sorry for it and intentionally, habitually sinning again and again. If you’re a child of God, then you won’t habitually sin. You won’t be sinless, but you will sin less.

The Bible tells us in 1 John 3:9, “Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. While the ELCA can be reliably counted on to bowdlerize the Bible, twist Bible truths and revise Bible history to appease the secular world, sometimes the revisions are so godlessly bizarre as to simply beggar belief. Rohrer’s revisionism of the Book of Daniel is one of those sometimes.

About three times in the six-minute “lesson” (read, typical ELCA debauched child-grooming propaganda), Rohrer casually refers to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego as transgender, never once, of course, offering an explanation for her historical revisionism.

There is no reference in Daniel to a solitary woman having any position of prominence in Babylon’s government, so Rohrer can’t be arguing that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were men posing as trans-women. Her account has to assert that they were women pretending to be men. Worse, her social media preface to the video states their putative transgenderism, not their faithfulness to God, is the crux of her invented story: "Tonight, more than ever it should be remembered that the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abindigo [sic] is about transgender slaves-"

So let’s see what the Bible has to say about the Hebrew youths:

"Then the king instructed Ashpenaz, the master of his eunuchs, to bring some of the children of Israel and some of the king’s descendants and some of the nobles, young men in whom there was no blemish . . .” (Daniel 1:3)

"As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom . . .” (Daniel 1:17)

"Furious with rage, Nebuchadnezzar summoned Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. So these men were brought before the king . . .” (Daniel 3:17)

So Rohrer with a straight face can peddle the fable that these three Jewish *men* were women masquerading as men and that Daniel, the writer of the Book of Daniel (Jesus testifies to Daniel’s authorship in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14) and himself one of the four men, either hid this “fact” about his three companions or was unaware of it?

Only in the sin-begrimed imagination of an ELCA cleric obsessed with corrupting children — while seemingly oblivious to her real peril of being measured for a millstone.

Perhaps the rationale behind Megan Rohrer's strange assertion is that, since Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were under the supervision of "Ashpenaz, the master of [the king's] eunuchs" (as the King James Version puts it), they were necessarily eunuchs themselves.

That would seem to be an unwarranted inference; but what is certain is this: A EUNUCH IS NOT THE SAME THING AS A TRANSGENDERED PERSON.

As for Ashpenaz's title, the newer Bible translations render it differently:
NRSV: "his palace master, Ashpenaz"
NAB: "Ashpenaz, his chief chamberlain"
NIV: "Ashpenaz, chief of his court officials"
ESV: "Ashpenaz, his chief eunuch"

Martin Luther would be picketing ELCA headquarters every day, calling them out for their heresies and apostasies. They preach that everyone's saved, that Jesus' death on the cross wasn't an atonement for our sin, that same-sex "marriage" is fine and dandy with God, that God's preborn creations may be slaughtered in the womb for any reason, . . .

Here's what Luther says about the pretend-church ELCA:

Martin Luther on John 14:5-6—“All our teaching and faith should center and depend on Christ. Setting aside all of our wisdom and skill, we should know nothing except the crucified Christ (1 Cor. 2:2)…We come to God through Christ alone." (LW, 24:32)

Martin Luther on Galatians 2:21 —“The apostle [Paul] clearly says that there is no other righteousness than through faith in Jesus Christ…Our sins are so great and so far away from righteousness that it was necessary for the Son of God to die so that righteousness could be given to us. When discussing theology, don’t call anything righteousness that is apart from faith in Christ.”(LW, 27:240)

Luther on John 3:16—“What the Lord Christ wants first and foremost is your heart—a heart that believes in him alone..When you believe in Christ, your heart becomes clean..You will act differently than before. Faith won’t permit you to be a sinner, fornicator, or adulterer any longer. So your entire life will reflect what’s in your heart.” (LW, 22:374)

Luther on Genesis 2:23 — “The word *woman* presents an amazing and lovely picture of the institution of marriage. Everything the husband has also belongs to his wife. Not only do they share their assets, but also their children, income, food, drink, bed, and home. Besides that, they are to be one in spirit. The only difference between a husband and wife is in their anatomy. Otherwise, they are the same.” (LW, 1:137)

Megan Rohrer's mind is so depraved that it cannot focus on anything other than sexual lust or perversion. And when the topic at hand has no possible connection to the subject of sex, she invents one.

She is a living illustration of Titus 1:15-16: "To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work."
