ELCA Bishop Presides Over Ordination that Includes Drag Queens

This is the state of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Its leadership has given in to the world and turned its back on the Truth, on Scripture and on God Himself. They model and teach that sinful behavior should be embraced and are encouraging behaviors that are inspired by the enemy and are harmful to people.

A couple months ago Southeastern Synod ELCA bishop Kevin Strickland, a practicing gay man, presided over the ordination of queer ELCA pastor Dawn Bennett. Rev. Bennett, a devoted LGBT advocate, was surrounded by many ELCA pastors. At the service, drag queens were actively involved in the ordination service, and this was celebrated.

In ELCA Bishop Strickland's opening statement, he proclaimed to those gathered,

"... let this service, let this table, be an opportunity of inclusive grace for you. For you are welcome in this space and you are welcomed by God for just the way you are and for who you are, because of whose you are." (15:56 minute mark. See below)

He continued,

"So Dawn, look around. This might just be, no this is, a glimpse of what the kingdom of God is like."

How can anyone justify being part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America? The church is not of Christ. For the sake of yourself and your family, view the pictures below and then either insist that your congregation exit the ELCA or make a choice to leave your congregation that has bound their members to this denomination.

No, ELCA clerical frauds, you've just foisted upon your cozened parishioners another glimpse of the kingdom of darkness that has thoroughly pervaded the haughty ELCA: "For the look on their faces bears witness against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves." [Isaiah 3:9]

What happens to fallen man, mired in sin? He experiences one inversion of Genesis after another. Men's hearts grow dark, and their imaginations vain—empty, of no avail. Instead of honoring the God who made them in his image, and who brought the beasts before Adam so that he might name them, they "changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things" (Rom. 1:23). That disorder, that contemptible submission of man to beast, is then reflected in their own bodies and their lusts. Of course, man's sin is not predominantly sexual, but the sexual sins are so obviously bound to the order of creation, as one generation begets another, that they are signs of deep disorder. When men not only fail to fulfill the design of God, who said to the man and woman, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it" (Gen. 1:28), but by their actions heap contempt upon that design, they show how far they have strayed into error and madness."

Born and raised in the LCA before the ELCA came about. Unbelievable the direction this synod has taken over the last few yrs. Got out and became Wisconsin Synod. And glad I did.

Another prime example of the Apostasy of the Church. Evil, disgusting, totally contrary to the Holy Scriptures. This is a sham and violation of true Holiness unto the Lord Jesus Christ. Disgusting reprobation displayed unto all to see. Truth of the matter, this does need to be exposed! Go to a REAL Bible believing Church! This whole "ELCA" exposed is a perfect example of NOT believing the Word of God as TRUTH.

I'm glad we left the ELCA in 2019 --- this behavior (gay/lesbian ordination with drag queens!!) is shameful. Martin Luther preached that, yes, God loves us just the way we are, BUT He loves us too much to let us stay that way.

We are now members of a conservative, Anglican congregation, as there was no conservative Lutheran congregation in our area.

Is this what has happened to the office of the Holy Ministry? A blatant thumb snubbing to God's Word and an elevation of one's own conception over God's conception in scripture. I'm glad I am now in the LCMS

Everyone in those pictures is smiling but imagine their faces when standing before the Great Throne and Jesus looking down and saying “I never knew you, depart from me forever.” And then their face when they realize their eternity will be spent in darkness and fire.

God will ask them, “Was it worth it? Was your quest for acceptance of your sinfulness and immorality worth an eternity in Hell? Was spending your life trying to lead my flock astray worth your soul?”

I live in Dothan AL and the ELCA church here yesterday had a drag queen show in the church that became dangerous. The story is available at 1819news.com. I was not aware that this was going on or that it was the 2nd year the church had a drag queen show. There is a Missouri Synod Methodist Church in Dothan also and there is no connection between the two denominations. If you have any questions, you can contact me by email. I have never been inside the ELCA church, which at one time shared a priest with the local Episcopal Church (Church of the Nativity). Both very liberal, pro-LGBTQ. female priests etc.
