(The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.) I got a phone call today from a father in Colorado whose son was considering attending Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota, a college affiliated with the liberal Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. He stumbled across my website in which I criticize ELCA colleges for promoting the LGBT movement and liberal theology (teachings such as universalism, the belief that all people will be saved regardless of faith in Christ). The father, given that Gustavus calls itself a Christian college, assumed it holds to Christian values. Then he watched the below video of the sex skits for incoming Gustavus students. The video is from years ago, but to my knowledge, nothing has changed. I was told years ago that Gustavus lost a huge financial gift because of these videos (you can view more of them on youtube, just google "Gustavus Adolphus Freshman Orientation"). The father told me he talked today with a member of Gustavus' admission staff about his concerns and eventually the staffer said "Well, I think this conservation is over." The father now has no desire to send his son to Gustavus, even though his son is being offered a scholarship. If you are considering sending your son or daughter to Gustavus Adolphus, St. Olaf College, Augsburg College, Luther College, Wartburg College, or Concordia Moorhead, I would think again. The heresy in ELCA colleges has been going on for years. Even way back in the 1970's I remember one of my high school friends went off to Concordia Moorhead and came back home denying the resurrection of Christ because of one of her professors. Sincerely in Christ, Pastor Tom Brock

I sincerely wish I had known of the debased behavior of this group many, many years ago. However, it never occurred to me a group referring to themselves as Christian would be advocating such sinful idealogy. Thank you for shedding light on the abhorrent beliefs of the ELCA. May God protect the children and lead them to the truth.

The day is near that every Christian institution, Christian church and school will be harassed or even forced to change there policies to align themselves with the world and disregard the Bible. Or suffer the consequences. It's a matter of life or death. It may mean colleges close due to lack of students or funds, but for those who stand on the rock of Jesus will reap eternal benefits. Do you want to face consequences of the world or from a Holy God?

Tom, I have 3 brothers who graduated from Concordia College quite awhile ago. I don't think it was as bad as it is now. I think it's gotten worse since my brother's graduated. I really don't know how bad it is now. But alot of so called " Christian schools " have gotten alot more worldly and acceptable to liberals, so you know it's a good school if liberal Democrats are constantly attacking them.

A sad day... but long in the making. Noteworthy, in the final analysis, is the final praise of "atheism". The ELCA seems all too comfortable with heresy, false religion, and, apparently, atheism. (The fool says in his heart, there is no god. Ps 14:1) Their dancing with the seven deadly sins is simply icing on the cake. Indeed, a sad day... a long time in the coming... but one which has finally arrived... "out & loud". :-( ...
