2022 Heresy Update

A bisexual Lutheran woman pastor marches topless at a gay pride parade...that is just one example of the false teachings that have invaded the ELCA Lutheran Church, the Episcopal Church, the United Church of Christ, the Disciples of Christ, the United Methodists, the Reformed Church in America and the PCUSA Presbyterians. The below video gives the most recent, tragic examples of how low the mainline churches have sunk.

If you know someone who is still in one of these denominations, please pass this on to them. And please pray that many will leave unbiblical denominations and join churches which follow the Bible.

"Where you find a church, you find a community committed to the Bible. If not, you have not found a church.”

Don't stay in an ELCA whose highest commitment is to please Caesar and the world. Leave, and find a real church.

Pastor Brock used the term "gender" when I am certain he meant "sex." He said that God created two genders. What God created were two sexes, male (a sex with the equipment for begetting children) and female (a sex with the equipment for bearing children). Of course there are other physical attributes which are specific to one sex or the other.

"Gender" means lots of things, one of which is that it refers to characteristics not necessarily physical, typically associated with one sex or the other. In a sense these characteristics may be derivative of the biology of one sex or the other. "Masculine" and "feminine" are adjectives that describe these characteristics and "masculinity" and "femininity" are the related nouns.

It has only been in recent history that we have come to use the term "gender" as a substitute for the term "sex." This has happened in spite of the fact that any quick internet search will reveal that any relevant technical discipline is at pains to state that there is a difference between sex and gender.

Consider the question: how many sexes are there? It's pretty easy to answer that there are only two. If you ask the question, "how many genders are there?" the answer can only be, "What do you mean?" If you mean sex, there are two. If you don't mean sex, what do you mean? If you mean "characteristics" that are associated with one sex or the other, there are still only two genders: masculine and feminine. If that's not what you mean, what do you mean?

Typically the answer of those proposing more than two genders is that "gender" means something different from the "binary" division between male and female. The problem for them is that they can only describe this characterization in the negative. It is non-binary. But, first of all they can't state positively what it is and, secondly, whatever it means it can only be understood within a real, identified binary framework (male and female) which framework they claim is not real and of which they disparage.

Several years ago when I went to the doctor's office, they wanted to know my sex, male or female. Then at some point that changed and they wanted to know my gender: male or female. Then, as the term "gender" became more and more elastic, the doctor's office had to change its form once again and ask for my "sex at birth." Now, more recently they want to know my "sex assigned at birth." But, my "gender" is no longer a concept which is helpful to dealing with my physical health.

It seems the Christian community would help to bring a bit of clarity, if only in small measure, not to use the term "gender" when we mean "sex." Save the use of the term "gender" (when not using it in a linguistic sense) only for when we are referring to characteristics associated with and/or derived from sexual differences between males and females (i.e., things either masculine or feminine). Other than that, whenever someone else uses the term gender, the first response should be: What do you mean; please define the term "gender."

They should be called when they can only define it as "non-binary" and relative to the binary concept of sex.
