Nonbinary ELCA Seminary Student's Devotional

In a recent series of "Lenton Devotionals of LGBTQIA+ Lutherans," Micah Louwagie shared her "devotional" which in part said,

"My journey of coming out as nonbinary has been a journey of discovering the life that my bones hold, and of realizing that this life is good and holy. Living into my identity has been a breath of fresh air, a renewal of the spirit in my bones. The bones I once feared were too worn and weary to carry me any farther still have plenty of life left in them. God bless these beautiful queer bones." (See here)

"Nonbinary gender is an umbrella term to describe any gender identity that does not fit into the genderbinary of male and female." (See here)

"Micah is pursuing a Master of Divinity at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota." (See here) Lutheran Seminary is a school of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The ELCA’s embrace of transgenderism is at once:

* anti-Jesus: (Matt. 19:4-5)

* anti-Lutheran:
Martin Luther: "In the first part we shall consider which persons may enter into marriage with one another. In order to proceed aright let us direct our attention to Genesis 1 [:27], “So God created man . . . male and female he created them.” From this passage we may be assured that God divided mankind into two classes, namely, male and female, or a he and a she. This was so pleasing to him that he himself called it a good creation [Gen. 1:31]. Therefore, each one of us must have the kind of body God has created for us. I cannot make myself a woman, nor can you make yourself a man; we do not have that power. But we are exactly as he created us: I a man and you a woman. Moreover, he wills to have his excellent handiwork honored as his divine creation, and not despised. The man is not to despise or scoff at the woman or her body, nor the woman the man. " If those who identify as transgender ARE the sex with which they identify, why doesn’t that apply to other attributes or categories of being? What about people who identify as animals, or able-bodied people who identify as disabled? Do all of these self-professed identities determine reality? If not, why not? And should these people receive medical treatment to transform their bodies to accord with their minds? Why accept transgender “reality,” but not trans-racial, trans-species, and trans-abled reality? The challenge for activists is to explain why a person’s “real” sex is determined by an inner “gender identity,” but age and height and race and species are not determined by an inner sense of identity."

Drugs used as puberty blockers for transgender kids linked to thousands of deaths in adults

Since the ELCA is long past evangelical (preaching universalism and disdaining Jesus' Great Commission) and Lutheran (Luther repudiated the ELCA's favorite heresies and apostasies: homosexuality, same-sex "marriage," transgenderism, abortion, universalism), when will the ELCA finally get honest and drop the "E" and the "L"?

The ELCA has forgotten the roots that founded it. I have done some reading and am not perfect. But Martin Luther said it best when he proclaimed listen to what the Evangelist(Preacher) said then go home and verify what he said was in the Bible. Word First is the guide.
Another Commentary comment I think it Martyn Lloyd-Jones that said that The New Testament Apostles wrote the Books to be understood by Slaves, the Poor, The uneducated. They have clear understanding but today's ELCA seem to want to say you have to believe what we tell you what to say not what the words say.
