During Covid-19 Pandemic ELCA Strenuously Object to "Expulsions" of "Those Seeking Humanitarian Protections" on our Border
The ELCA is becoming more and more vocal on their social justice pet causes:
Some of the other signers include:
Abolish ICE Denver
National Center for Lesbian Rights
National Center for Transgender Equality
National LGBTQ Task Force
Southern Poverty Law Center
Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, VA
Unitarian Universalist Service Committee
URGE: Unite for Reproductive & Gender Equity
Below are four Bishops of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America voicing their support for more refugees to be brought into the United States.
ELCA bishops from the three Texas ELCA synods released a letter urging Texas to resettle refugees in their state. (see below or here) One of the signers of that letter, Bishop Michael Rinehart, along with the CEO of Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS) wrote a letter that was published in the Houston Chronicle making their case:
"[T]hese refugees are powerful ambassadors of our founding principles of equal opportunity, religious freedom and liberty and justice for all, and they reflect the best of Texas’ identity — generosity, hospitality, faithfulness and welcome."
"[W]e’re hopeful that the law will be on our side once again as the organization we represent, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, seeks a preliminary injunction against President Trump’s unconstitutional executive order."
"As the world faces the worst refugee crisis in recorded history, this would have been the time for Texas to step up, as it has in the past, and say yes to refugee resettlement...No matter what happens in court or in the statehouse, we will continue to help refugees of all faiths find safety and hope in this great state and in this great nation." (See here or below)
Additionally, South Dakota Synod Bishop, Constanze Hagmaier, wrote a letter of gratitude to South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, because the governor "notified the federal government that South Dakota will continue to accept refugees who are resettled in the United States next year." (See below)
The ELCA and ReconcilingWorks, an LGBT Advocacy Organization, the Focus of An ELCA Article
When was the last time the ELCA and Lutheran CORE, which holds to a Biblical view of marriage and sexuality, were featured in an ELCA publication?
ELCA Advocacy celebrates the "Legacy of PRIDE in the ELCA" by highlighting an ELCA pastor who is "queerying faith through their blog..." and goes by the pro-noun "they."
Pushing their agenda with your offering dollars.
Any question where ELCA Advocacy stands on LGBTQ issues?
ELCA Advocacy SpotLights Homosexual Pr. Kevin Strickland, Who serves as the Assistant to the Presiding Bishop
I assume the Presiding Bishop picked this gay ELCA pastor to be the assistant to the presiding bishop. He says, "speaking up for LGBTQIA persons and others who are discriminated is a living image of what God’s Work. . .Our hands is all about.”
Again, celebrating the Legacy of PRIDE in the ELCA.
Many of the ELCA's members agree with Scripture and do not "Celebrate" homosexuality, but that does not matter to the ELCA leadership, they continue to push the LGBT narrative.
You Pay These People
Do you want your money spent on people who push the ELCA's leftest politics and agenda?
'Wall of Hate & White Supremacy'
Homosexual ELCA bishop Guy Erwin claims falsely that God "calls us today to speak out and protect those who seek refuge here with us." "Wall of Hate & White Supremacy" sign is behind him.
ELCA Bishop Gonia being political.
Please read this blog about ELCA Rev. Tuhina Verma Rasche, the woman ELCA Advocacy is profiling in their tweet below. It is unacceptable for the ELCA to praise and lift up this pastor, putting her in a place of prominence and influence.
Paid, by you, to push their pet causes.
