Gay ELCA Pastor Thinks 'Couples Should Sleep Together Before Marriage'

The Rev. Emmy R Kegler at Grace Lutheran Church of Northeast Minneapolis,
Minnesota, describes herself as "a queer woman & a Christian pastor, and deeply in love with my fiancée (Doctor Future Wife)."

She tweets this:

I really do think couples should sleep together before marriage.

It's important to establish who in the relationship is the wide eyed golden retriever who CAN'T WAIT TO START THE DAY and who is the grumpy cat that curls further under blankets and needs you to bring her coffee.

This is what the ELCA has become. A denomination where their pastors/leaders reject the clear teaching of God and in this case, are in favor of people sleeping together (having sex) before marriage. (See Hebrews 13:4 to learn what God has to say on this topic, for starters). Seems God's Word is just ignored now in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

ELCA members should ask themselves what their current ELCA pastor believes, and does not believe, when it comes to God's Word? Additionally, contemplate what future pastors in your church family, trained by the ELCA, will believe about God's Word and what they will be teaching the congregation.

The sellout ELCA strikes out again, biblically and sociologically. Fornication (Gr. "porneia" - all "illicit intercourse") is condemned by Jesus and Paul, whom the ELCA doesn't care to hear or heed because it's too fond of basking in the world's praise.

There's not even a good sociological case to be made for hooking up and shacking up, both of which do much more harm to -- feminism-user-alles ELCAnites would be shocked if they had any capacity for honest introspection -- women.

Well, that's paganism for you -- in nine years the ELCA has morphed from a church into a swinger's club. Maybe soon they will replace the "Love is Love" mantra with "Hookups are Holy" or some such lunacy. Is it time yet to re-convene the CWA to send the 2009 social statement down the memory hole?

First of all the fact that she is gay says it . God help them. She obviously doesn't read ALL THE BIBLE.
