Having Sanctuary Congregations is Highlighted in ELCA 2018 Year in Review Video

"ELCA 2018 in Review" is a video made by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The video states, “2018 brought many blessings to this church and beyond…” and then they go on to list many things they seem to be proud of, things like “(t)hrough the AMMPARO program, 116 welcoming and sanctuary congregations in 30 synods.”

Sounds like sanctuary congregations are a source of pride for the ELCA.

The only "sanctuary" the ELCA offers is an invitation to sinners to remain impenitently in their sins and forfeit eternal life in the Kingdom of God. "Many will follow their evil teaching and shameful immorality. And because of these teachers, the way of truth will be slandered.” [2 Peter 2:2]

When the ELCA writes “2018 brought many blessings to this church and beyond…,” it's recalling fondly the warm fuzzies and indulgent pats on the head from the world and other pretend-Christian denominations, all the while it was preaching a bogus "Gospel" and a spurious "Jesus" and promoting the world's Top 10 Best-Loved Sins of 2018.

Exhibit A in the ELCA's toadying to the world: the ELCA's 2018 march on ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) at its Churchwide Assembly.

Here's what the ELCA's preening virtue signaling ignored:

"Between September 2017 and October 2018, ICE agents arrested a little more than 6,600 convicted murderers and convicted sex offenders who were in the United States illegally.

"Of that total, 4,975 of the illegal aliens arrested were convicted sex offenders. The other 1,641 illegal aliens had been convicted of homicide. Another 1,913 illegal aliens that were arrested by ICE had pending sex offense charges against them, while 387 illegal aliens had pending murder charges against them.

"Of the almost 160,000 illegal aliens arrested in FY 2018, 66 percent were convicted criminals or those with pending criminal charges which translates to about 140,000 of those arrested.

"The more than 105,000 convicted criminal illegal aliens arrested by ICE this year also include:

54,630 illegal aliens convicted of drunk driving
29,987 illegal aliens convicted of assault
9,834 illegal aliens convicted of burglary
4,423 illegal aliens convicted of robbery
3,740 illegal aliens convicted of sexual assault
1,294 illegal aliens convicted of kidnapping

This is the most complete stat list on illegals I’ve seen. It is bad and getting worse. Dems want them as dependent replacement voters for American citizens. It is an evil Marxist plan.

Not sure how to get this properly expressed, but having read the postings on here just now, I am appalled at the elca thinking the Lord is for all this inclusion stuff.
I think that so many are preaching the Love of God, and that's Truth. BUT, God is NOT pleased with sin. I just somewhat fast read Isaiah and Jeremiah. Now I am in Ezekiel and the Spirit was heavy this morning. God takes sin seriously and churches too much are not............I could list some 'acceptances" at two places but suffice it to say, Jesus would not be doing it.
It broke my heart this morning to realize (as best I can) the depth of SIN in this country. So much EVIL.
May God lean heavily on those who KNOW HIM, and help us do our job to save hearts and souls.

To put this fake, non-Christian denomination into proper perspective, one needs to read Rabbi Jonathan Cahn’s Dragon’s Prophecy. He states in the last days there will be a large falling away of the faith by Christians before the persecution. I believe this deceiver denomination plays a role in this falling away.
