Gay ELCA Lutheran bishop stands for abortion, transgenderism and homosexuality and writes to Supreme Court

Kevin Strickland is a bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. He is a man “married” to a man and is one of 10 practicing homosexual ELCA bishops (the ELCA has 65 bishops). As you can see from his below Facebook page, he stands for abortion, transgenderism, homosexuality, and “science” (which I think means he believes in evolution). His letter to the Supreme Court urges them to keep gay marriage legal and Strickland informs them that the ELCA approves of homosexual behavior and regards gay unions as the equivalent of Christian marriage. The bishop states that the ELCA marries homosexual couples not in defiance of the Christian faith, but because of it.

As a Christian who has personally struggled with same sex attraction most of my life, but who abstains from that behavior for the sake of Christ and my soul, I ask you to please say a prayer for Strickland and the other 9 ELCA gay bishops and their partners. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 says people who persist in impenitent sin will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

If you are still an ELCA member, it is time to run from the ELCA. This is your leadership. In its healthcare plan, which is funded by ELCA offering dollars, the ELCA pays for sex hormone treatment for minors and also for sex change operations and abortion for any reason.

Every bishop in the Bible-defying ELCA has a seared conscience. May God continue to lead His children out of this counterfeit church.

Fifth, Scripture speaks condemningly of every instance of homosexuality within its pages (See for example, Gen. 19:1–13; Lev. 18:22; Lev 20:13; Rom. 1:18–32; 1 Cor. 6:9–11; 1 Tim. 1:8–11; Jude 1:7). Even if reason and logic were not available to confirm the problem with homosexuality, Scripture’s prohibition would be sufficient to justify its condemnation. And critically, such prohibitions are not clobber texts, picked at random. Rather, the whole tenor of Scripture frames marriage as an institution between man and woman. This is true in the beginning with Adam and Eve, in the Law of Moses, or in culmination of marriage—the union of Christ and his bride, the Church.

Pressing the point further, Scripture affirms the natural law’s evaluation of homosexuality as a misuse of the body. In Romans 1:26, Paul specifically identifies the fruitlessness of sodomy as “contrary to nature.” . . .

Acts of judicial tyranny must be maintained by further acts of judicial tyranny. Laws and policies must be reconfigured around the fundamental lie at the heart of Obergefell.

And because courts have ordered a simple county clerk to pay two sodomites hundreds of thousands of dollars in emotional damages because she acted in accordance with her Christian beliefs, there is a chance that Obergefell might be overturned.

Odd that a so-called Christian denomination stands in opposition to everything the Bible teaches. Wolf in sheep’s clothing.

I was reared as a little Lutheran and then, it was a solid thing. The elca didn't exist then.
These totally non-biblical leaders have a lot of blood on their hands for their teaching of such blasphemy to children.
I also think if "we" should ever think that we could Never be deceived as they are, we need to be on alert at all times.
