ELCA Lutherans elect eighth homosexual bishop

The New York Metropolitan Synod of the liberal Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has just elected Katrina Foster, an out lesbian, as bishop. I think that makes eight homosexual bishops now in the ELCA.

You can see from her video below, she is about being radical and having sexual orientation diversity.

Before 2009, if a pastor in the ELCA was a practicing homosexual, he or she would be disciplined and have to step down . Today, they are made a bishop in the ELCA.

The current ELCA sine qua non qualification for office of bishop: participation in a sexual perversion and/or a publicly stated endorsement of sexual perversion

The good news: Jesus is stronger than the lies promoted by pretend churches like the ELCA.

As I continued to draw near to the heart of God, I saw His grace and enormous love for me unfold through His Word. My sin began to become vividly clear. There had to be a choice. My encouragement to you as parents, family members, and those leading children in any way:

1. Teach your children about Jesus! Morning, noon, and night. (Deut. 6:4-9) Give them the solid foundation they need if they ever stray and need to come back to their faith. (Prov. 22:6)

2. Stand firm, using the plumb line of the Truth from God’s Word. (2 Thes. 2:15) My parents did not cave and adjust their beliefs to accommodate my current situation. Your stability in Jesus Christ and His Word will give safety and a steady place to run to when they are ready. As you live and walk in His Word, love them as Jesus does — unconditionally yet unwavering in Truth! (Heb. 13:8)

3. Pray, pray, and pray some more! There is healing and power in the name of Jesus! He alone is our hope. He is working when we cannot see it. Speak the Word over your loved one and believe God is big enough to do the seemingly impossible! And prepare for a party when they return! (Luke 15:10)

4. Broken hearts will be bound up. Captives will be set free. Prisoners will be released from darkness. May God’s favor be poured out and mourning changed to dancing! (Isaiah 61:1)

I can't understand how ripping babies apart is health care. Are the mothers told they will have emotional issues the rest of their lives? and the daddies too......
What kind of God's church is okay with killing babies and risking the lives of the mothers? Is this when God says "I never knew you."
To me, the issue isn't abortion. It is about immorality and desire for convenience. If churches taught morality as they did in my growing up days, we wouldn't have millions and millions of babies being killed. This isn't a government problem--it is a "make the people feel good" preaching problem.

The devil is so devious, he attacks through alcoholism, drugs, left wing politics, pornography, family discord, but also through the very churches where people think they are safe. The deceiver ELCA is such a place.
