ELCA head bishop sides with homosexuals, not Catholic adoption agency, in Supreme Court case7/12/2021 (The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.)
The Supreme Court this month unanimously ruled that a Catholic adoption agency in Philadelphia receiving government funding should not be forced to violate its beliefs by giving children to homosexual couples. Elizabeth Eaton is head bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. She recently did a gay pride video to celebrate pride month and now has come out with a statement regarding the Supreme Court decision: "The ELCA stands with our LGBTQIA+ siblings in Christ...affirming (their) vocation..as parents and foster parents." It is tragic that the ELCA has decided to side with practicing homosexuals and not the Catholic Church, which is simply trying to live the faith it has practiced for 2000 years. God invented the family. It takes a father and a mother to create a child. It is sad that the ELCA leadership apparently thinks it knows better than God on how to design the human family. Sincerely in Christ, Pastor Tom Brock https://www.elca.org/-and-Events/8111

You should not be surprised to see lots rainbow colored gay pride messages in June, which many have branded "Gay Pride Month," but sadly, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is one of its biggest promoters.
Everywhere you look you will find ELCA pastors, ELCA seminaries, ELCA schools, ELCA synods, ELCA headquarters, ELCA publications, ELCA social media and ELCA churches proudly proclaiming their gay pride. It seems to be there main mission as a church to declare what God calls sin, to be "good." Below are just a few of the many ELCA entities celebrating and encouraging sin. The ELCA's magazine Living Lutheran posted the following and have an article discussing LGBT+ books and resources, many of them for or about youth. (see article here). Then they posted this. . . From the Metropolitan Chicago Synod of the ELCA:
Two from the ELCA's Virginia Synod:
Here are two transgender persons talking about the ELCA in a Pride video produced by the Southeastern Synod: The Rock Mountain Synod of the ELCA posted this:
Here is ELCA's Carthage College's profile picture for June:
Former ELCA Bishop, Claire Burkat, now retired-Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod, ELCA has these on her Facebook page: Newly elected lesbian ELCA bishop Brenda Bos of the Southwest California Synod says:

The Evangelical Lutheran Church d in America used to believe that homosexual behavior is contrary to the will of God. That all changed in 2009 when the ELCA voted to ordain practicing homosexuals – at a convention that was literally hit by a tornado. Today many ELCA congregations celebrate homosexuality and this month ELCA head bishop Elizabeth Eaton appeared in a gay pride video to celebrate gay pride month. Westwood Lutheran is an ELCA congregation in the Twin Cities area. It is the devil's job to take something ugly and make it look pretty, and the below video is very slick. Listen to Westwood's "amazing welcome that comes from God": "We are called to be ourselves...including sexuality...God gives unconditional welcome to all people...This includes people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions and relationship status". Is this true? I personally have struggled with same sex attraction most of my life and I am grateful that Jesus welcomes people who struggle with all kinds of sin. But what does He welcome us to? To repentance from sin and new life in Christ. But you will hear no mention of repentance from sin in the below video because sin is no longer sin. Now sexual sin is something to be celebrated. And what does it mean that Westwood welcomes people regardless of "relationship status"? It is not spelled out but I am guessing that Westwood has no problem welcoming heterosexual couples who are living in fornication. Does Jesus radically welcome everyone into His Church? No. He welcomes sinners who come to Him in repentance and faith. On the Last Day Jesus Himself will say "Depart from me" to the unrepentant (Matthew 7:22-23). Jesus taught that we should expel the impenitent person from the Church (Matthew 18:15-17) and the Apostle Paul taught the same (I Corinthians 5:13). And it is not loving to welcome people to continue to live a life of sin since this will eternally separate them from God (I Corinthians 6:9-11). I hope you attend a good, Biblical church which welcomes all kinds of sinners, but which also welcomes them to repentance from sin and to faith in Christ for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. In Jesus our Savior, Pastor Tom Brock Living in and embracing sinful behavior is wrong. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has chosen to defy God and His will by celebrating and encouraging sinful sexual lifestyles. But more than that, the ELCA is advocating for children to be placed in households that are openly living in sexual perversion.
In the ELCA article linked below the ELCA's Presiding Bishop writes about "...recognizing and affirming the vocation of LGBTQIA+ people as parents and foster parents." People living the LGBT life should be lovingly cared for as we pray they would chose to live in obedience to God. But children should not be placed in a household where the adults have decided to joyfully and defiantly live in sexual sin. So the ELCA is harming both those that are attracted to people of the same sex and also children who are forced to live in that defiant-to-God household. (See the ELCA article here)
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America elected their first (soon to be many, no doubt) openly lesbian bishop. The Southwest California Synod elected Brenda Bos to be their bishop this weekend.
Bishop-elect Bos is married to a woman and formally worked at Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries, an LGBT Lutheran organization. So far this year the ELCA has elected a transgender bishop, a transgender associate to the bishop and a lesbian bishop. The ELCA twists the words of Scripture (know anyone else who did that?) in order to implement their beliefs. Sadly, may faithful, orthodox, Bible-believing people are paying (offering dollars) for leaders who spew harmful lies and influence young and old alike. If you are still in the ELCA how can you justify that? (The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.)
Today is the first day of gay pride month. Last year the head Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in American made a gay pride video and wrote the below message. Notice she talks about LGBT "siblings"--presumably because saying "brothers and sisters" is too binary and excludes transgender people. Here is the quote from Bishop Elizabeth Eaton: "But this celebration (of a pro-LGBT Supreme Court decision) and this Pride Month is not just something that happens one month out of the year. We celebrate all year round for the many gifts and the ways that this church and this country have been enriched by the gifts of LGBTQIA+ people. “Our congregations are stronger. Our communities are more vibrant. There's still more work to be done and we will do it. But we know that we're moving closer to the time when these siblings cannot be made invisible by the church or by the country. They are seen and always have been seen by God. And now we can see that, in fact, all of us, all of us are created in God's image. “Peace. Be well, dear church.” So here it appears we have the head bishop of a Lutheran denomination celebrating a sexual behavior which God's Word condemns (see my article "What does the Bible teach about homosexuality?" at pastorsstudy.org). Bishop Eaton has never said a contrary word about homosexual behavior and she promotes gay pride so I can't assume otherwise. BIshop Eaton has also publicly stated that the ELCA supports abortion rights. Also, I shopped at Target today which I rarely do, it is very liberal on social causes. I snapped the below picture (see here) and complained saying "I'm a conservative, I don't appreciate Target promoting this to people who are not where they are on the political spectrum." Yes, I realize complaining to Target will not do much, but it is better than doing nothing. Hopefully it gave the employee to whom I complained something to think about. In Jesus our Savior, Pastor Tom Brock PS When LGBT pride month comes I think of the verse Philippians 3:19 "Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things." It is tragic when the world does this, it is super tragic when the Church (ELCA Lutherans, PCUSA Presbyterians, the United Church of Christ, the Episcopal Church in America) does this ELCA 'queer' vicar preaches eunuch in Acts was LGBT and nothing keeps us out of God's Kingdom5/26/2021 (The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.) Here is a recent sermon from a vicar of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America who identifies as "queer". She claims (about minute 26) that the Ethiopian eunuch was part of the LGBT community. She also states (minute 32) that nothing keeps people out of God's kingdom, a direct contradiction of 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 ("fornicators, idolaters, adulterers,... homosexuals...will not inherit the kingdom of God.") It is long past time for people to leave this heretical denomination. The below sermon is not an example of a misrepresentative, rogue ELCA church. Indeed, the head bishop of the ELCA herself did a "gay pride" video last June and the ELCA has a practicing homosexual bishop, a practicing homosexual seminary president, and recently elected a transgender bishop. Sincerely in Christ, Pastor Tom Brock Among the many problems (see here) with the so called "Equality Act," is that "the Equality Act offers few protections for religious organizations and institutions that hold to traditional views of marriage and oppose things like gender reassignment surgeries." (See here) The ELCA understands this problem but are fulling endorsing the "Equality Act" anyway. http://support.elca.org/site/MessageViewer;jsessionid=00000000.app20021a?em_id=5600.0&dlv_id=8893¤t=true&em_id=5600.0&NONCE_TOKEN=F17930CBA58EA4196111EBD9A7087B27
God's Word is the authority, not man, not liberal denominations. Teaching things that go against God's Word is not a "loving" position. It is instead very harmful to listeners and people that indulge in actions because of the ELCA's false teaching.
Most ELCA pastors are paid contractors. People give money for heresy being preached and that the denomination puts out. I shine light on what the ELCA does and what it teaches, so as to help open the eyes of those who are sitting under the ELCA's instruction. Can you help me reach the goal of $75,000 to support the work of this ministry? That amount is what the ELCA recommends for pastors with 10 years experience and 300 member congregations. Gifts can be given by credit card, or PayPal at www.paypal.com/paypalme/exposingtheelca. If you'd like to give by check send me a message (here) for more information. ------- A topic that seems to be growing in ELCA circles is that of multi partner relationships. Below you can read a social media post by a prominent ELCA pastor where he lists his response to someone's question about poly-amorous relationships.
Another Exposing the ELCA article about an ELCA bishop's support of polyamorous relationships can be found here.

The below is a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. He is "married" to a man and is upset the pope recently spoke against homosexual behavior. He writes in his Facebook post: 'Queerly Beloved, The church as an institution has theology that's about preserving power rather than radical love. Don't listen to it. It's a tool of Satan. Listen to the voice in your soul that tells you that you belong, that you are worth love, that the way you love and who you love is what was meant for you. That's the voice of God and it's more important than the voice of any institution." It is tragic that the ELCA allows this person to be in pastoral leadership, a person who claims the "voice within" is what we should follow. No, Lutherans and all Christians follow the Scriptures. The "voice within" (our fallen human nature) will tell us anything we want to hear, which is why we need the Bible to guard us from deception and destruction. Please pray many, many people leave the ELCA. In Jesus our Savior, Pastor Tom Brock
Living Lutheran magazine continues to promote LGBTQAI+ agenda, won't allow conservative view1/31/2021 (The following article was written by Rev. Tom Brock of pastorsstudy.org. You can follow Pastor Brock on Facebook - here and Twitter - here.)
Living Lutheran, the national magazine of the liberal Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, has an article highlighting Mikah Meyer, a runner who has run 210 miles to promote the LGBTQAI+ agenda. The conclusion of his five week run across Minnesota was “chosen to coincide with National Coming Out Day.” This is Living Lutheran’s second article on Meyer, who earlier visited every national park in America to promote LGBTQAI+ inclusion. Living Lutheran magazine often highlights homosexual and transgender persons in the ELCA. In 2009 when the ELCA voted to ordain practicing homosexual pastors, conservatives were assured that the more traditional view of homosexuality would also be allowed in the ELCA. However, Living Lutheran does not allow the conservative view. I am part of a Christian ministry called OnebyOne which helps people out of homosexuality. We inquired about putting a paid advertisement in Living Lutheran about our ministry but were denied because our viewpoint does not line up with “more recent decisions” of the ELCA. So much for tolerance and diversity of opinion--much less Biblical Christianity--in the official magazine of Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Sincerely in Christ, Pastor Tom Brock (See article here) National Coming Out Day: ELCA bishop compares Lazarus' resurrection to gay people "coming out"1/3/2021
National Coming Out Day is like Christmas for the ELCA. In the video below the ELCA seminary United Lutheran, ELCA Bishop Patricia Davenport, gay ELCA seminary president Guy Erwin, and other ELCA leaders celebrate this important ELCA "holiday."
The video by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America seminary celebrates LGBTQIA living. (See below or here)
Bill Tesch is excited, as you can read in the below post about Kevin L. Strickland, an openly homosexual man (married to a man), becoming bishop of Southeastern Synod, ELCA. Calling the Holy Spirit "her." Below Rev. Bill Tesch writes about NOT being elected as bishop of the ELCA's South Dakota Synod saying "I had thought I might be called, but the Holy Spirit, in her typically messy way, has revealed that I am not." What about false religions? Politics? Check out the following by the ELCA bishop:
ELCA church Dreams and Visions and their hyped ELCA pastor Emily Scott is hosting "A Drag Queen Storytime Queer Christmas Celebration."
Living off the dime of a century's worth of Biblical Lutherans, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has turned it's back on God, God's Word and its foundation, and become an institution that mocks God and harms souls. If you haven't left the ELCA you have some explaining to do.
The ELCA's Delaware-Maryland Synod Bishop Bill Gohl attended Dreams and Visions Queer Christmas Pageant last year. (See here)
