I am a retiered former ELCA pastor ordained in 1959 Wartburg.
I have been trying to find the statement of Mark S Hanson who wrote in a ELCA blog "The ELCA should be more like the European sisters and brothers. In other words we should model the ELCA after socialism. If you have this statemnent on file, would you let me know where it is. Thanks for your help.

many years ago my father was a faithful member of elca. On Easter Sunday in 1962 our pastor delivered a sermon that declaired that that pastor was not at all sure if Jesus really rose from the dead on Easter Sunday or not. He proclaimed that it did not matter one way or another. A week later we started going to another Lutheran denomination that believed that the Bible is 100% truth and has no mistakes or errors.

If it does not matter if Jesus rose from the dead or not why even bother with religion...Gods plan for salvation is such a wonderful gift.

i could go on and on about the elca heresy but this is all I care to say. it has been going on for years. I do not know why elca even calls themselves lutheran...
