Below is a excellent sermon by ELCA pastor David N. Glesne.  It speaks of the recent ELCA decisions regarding homosexuality and is titled, "Loving Your Neighbor: What does love mean?"

Excellent sermon that directly addresses the "but Jesus says we have to love our neighbor!" claim that we're hearing so often in our congregation. Thanks!

The sermon by David Glesen hits the nail on the head! Excellent and to the point! With tolerance as the mantra and political correctness as the watchword, truth falls by the wayside. The most loving thing a person can do is to speak the truth in love! God's word is the final authority. How can we un-sin what the Bible speaks of as sin?

This is a great sermon and right on with what I've been telling fellow congregation members, largely to no avail.

I would appreciate reieving the sermon from the following week as is mentioned in this one.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Pastor Glesne's sermon has been very popular, with a lot of people reading it and sharing it with others.

This morning I added Pastor Glesne's follow-up message called "Living By What Authority?"

You can find it on the Exposed Blog. Or you can copy and paste this URL - http://www.exposingtheelca.com/1/post/2010/02/another-great-sermon-by-rev-david-n-glesne.html
