If the ELCA splinter groups CORE and LCMC share the same theology as the ELCA (minus the endorsement of homosexual clergy), then why consider those two church bodies as alternatives?
I understand that the LCMC is an "association of congregations." As a layman, I am not interested in church governance/administration. I want to know how CORE and LCMC are different than the ELCA theologically.
